| Without Briscoe, McGuire, Ablett, Ward, Garbutt.
Falloon and JJB due to return this week.
Hardaker
Handley Watkins Moon Hall
Sutcliffe Lilley
Galloway Burrow Cuthbertson
Ferres Delaney
Singleton
Falloon JJB Keinhorst Mullally.
Singleton was fantastic in the loose forward position. It will be tough going over there and getting the win but I think that the team is more than capable. My worry is if JJB and Falloon didn't make it, we would have Walters and Achurch in on the bench.

| I think that's what we can expect, though I think if Jjb or Falloon don't make it Baldwinson is more likely to play over Achurch. Baldwinson was 18th man on Sunday.
I was impressed from what I saw from Mullaly and would like to see him get more minutes. 50/50 on Keinhorst and Walters, I thought Walters looked a bit faster and fitter than last year in the little minutes he got yesterday.

I am actually more cautiously optimistic about Walters what I saw pre season looked more mobile than last year. Didn't get much time last night but carried ball well. And when the garbutt incident occurred he wasn't shirking carrying it up and was having a bit of war of words with the Aussie pack while Garbutt was walking off so won't be bullied by the big cats pack.
Wouldn't be too worried with him on the bench. Thought Mullay looked ok and agree liked the look of Singo this year

| can't see Achurch in the first team again tbh. Don't think Mac has forgiven him for the Catalan cowardice with Escare.

Totally agree and glad to see it continue.
Frosties totally agree with that 17.

| Assuming that Falloon is fit I'd go with
Hardaker
Handley
Watkins
Moon
Hall
Sutcliffe
Lilley
Galloway
Burrow
Cuthbertson
Ferres
Delaney
Singleton
Falloon, Mullally, Walters, Baldwinson
I would give JJB another week to get himself sorted out. With his age and injury problems I wouldn't want him trying to shave a week or two off his recovery time and playing when he's not 100%. Baldwinson seems to be favoured over Achurch (who is pretty poor at prop anyway) and will no doubt do a job for us.

| I also agree that Singo was excellent at Loose Forward and could excel in that role going forward, the only issue being that when Ward and Ablett are back they are almost guaranteed to start, which in turn could send Ferres to Loose and Singo back to the bench.

| may be watching this one from behind the sofa, it could take us at least a couple of weeks to get back into things in the SL and Catalans have had a fortnight to fine tune after smarting over two losses themselves.

Blimey! Your glass really is half empty these days
A pack of Mr Kiplings French Fancies ought to provide a stiffer test for Leeds this weekend.
Catalans are sheiss.

| Catalans are a hot and cold side William, no i don't rate them as a threat regards winning the comp or even top 4 but they when they click at home they can blow most teams away and will be fresh.
My glass is half full actually, i came on here after the game on sunday to state i was pleased with the effort first 40 and the young lads can take certaintly take plenty from the experience. My optimism is still high for the long term, although short term will be tough till we get bodies back

| It strikes me that any side without a decent, specialist hooker is going to struggle. This would explain what has happened to us and Saints recently and what's going to happen to Wigan for the next few months...
I never thought the answer to any problem would be something called Beau Falloon, but there you are.

| If JJB & Falloon are fit they both should play and I wouldn't be surprised to see Falloon start with Burrow as captain at 7 then bring Lilley on when Falloon needs a rest and interchange between 7 and 9

It is still a key position, we missed Ailton and now think we may have to give Falloon a bit of time to get his confidence up, not ideal backdrop given our unsettled side at present. Have same fears as Biff regarding Catalan having one of their hot form days at home. Hope willie mason takes carney and a few others out on the lash this week.
