| That's hetherington's quote from today's YEP regarding a new hooker. He also talks about work permits, and pretty much says it's an NRL signing. Somebody wirh good distribution and defence, someone who can compliment Burrow. He also says he's looked at players who are both contracted and those who are free agents.
Looking forward to this announcement.

| You're going to have the Warrington fans coming over now telling you that they were right that Clark wasn't going to leave them.

Odds on that its Beau Falloon Or Glen Buttriss
www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-pre ... 7562110501
Beau Falloon
The hooker may have had charges of supplying cocaine thrown out of court but he looks long odds to continue his career in the NRL.
The Titans are not interested in re-signing him, with Nathan Friend, Kierran Moseley, Matt Srama and Daniel Mortimer already under contract for 2016.
After eight seasons in the NRL, Falloon’s likely home sits in England. He has recently been linked with Super League club Leeds
Glen Buttriss
The veteran Canberra hooker looks likely to end up in England after the Raiders snared unwanted Newcastle rake Adam Clydsdale for the next two seasons.
Buttriss, 30, has been linked with Leeds, who are in the market for a hooker.

The rumoured signing of Clark on a long term contract would have been more satisfying.....but either of these two would be enough to keep Leeds challenging for honours next season and beyond.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned Josh Hodgson but i would have liked him as my first choice
Didn't we also supposedly make an offer for McIllorum?
Or was that GH at his best and making sure that Wigan gave him an upgraded contract?

Probably just McIloruma's agent spreading the rumour to get his guy a new upgraded contract. If you were an agent and had a hooker on your books, why wouldn't you get the rumour out their in the last few months that Leeds had expressed an interest?

Great work by his agent then as Personally i don't see McIllorum as anything other than an aggressive player.......and that's about all I'm afraid

| I'd be more than happy if we signed Mad Micky if he fitted into the squad.
Fearless and a warrior almost like peacock and more than adequate distribution skills.
Looks more like an import for hooker and to be honest most NRL hookers should be able to provide what we need. Solid defence and the ability to get us moving forward. The rest of the squad should be able to work just fine from the back of that. Would rather have a superstar stand off than hooker.

McIllorums distribution skills are e so I'm not sure what he would bring to us TBH as a starting 9

| Forget signing a hooker, just get Leuluai to do another year, as apparently he "often stepped into dummy half"

| Have to be character questions against Falloon and whether he fits into the kind of ethic Leeds have worked so hard to develop. Also, if he can't find a coded way of doing coke deals by phone he's clearly not the brightest either.
I'd rather go with Buttriss.
