| Can't see Mac doing this, but how about resting the whole first team for Huddersfield? They are obviously exhausted, and a week off would do them good. Throw caution to the wind, let the youth have a bash? If Wire do a number on Saints on Thursday, we would end up with Giants away next week in the semi. Worth a go?

I wouldn't but the idea's more coherent than some I've read. If our problem was solely one of fatigue, I'd say yes. I don't believe it is though.

| If, as rumoured, both Sinfield and Burrow are not fit for this one....then I would agree.
No point flogging themselves to only lose anyway when they could all be given that extra rest for the one last GF throw of the dice (die)

| ....it is a shame to throw in the towel for the LLS after been by far the best team for so much of the campaign, but these last few weeks have realistically shattered the treble dream IMO - even with the unexpected lifeline given by Saints' win over Wigan.
It does amuse me when all the media states they cannot understand the implosion and inexpliacable difference between the all conquering team to the present team. Do none of the 'experts' really not see how much Aiton was an integral part of that success? We managed to cleverly cover his loss for a couple of matches, but we've now been 'found out' and there seems to be no more tricks up the/from the sleeve.
Without Sinfield and Burrow (and Sutcliffe) we're definitely finished as a force this season. No pivots left.

| Can't see the coach doing that. I fully expect Sinny and burrow to be rested with ablett/ward and Delaney doing long minutes so Walters or keinhorst can keep the bench warm

| The group of fans on here never cease to amaze me.
F- it let's just bend over now shall we.
We should got out to win on Friday to get the LLS, home advantage in the semi and some momentum.
We have more than enough in our squad to be a challenge for Huddersfield.

....well they have these last 2 weeks haven't they? It's ended up putting the team in the position it's in hasn't it? (especially the debacle in France)
There clearly isn't enough in the squad !!!

| The wholesale resting players is a negative ploy and sends a message to the rest of the league that Leeds are vulnerable and don't think they can beat Hudds. As others have alluded to on the forum, we need to build momentum not pin everything on a single last stand (probably away at Wigan!).
It's do or die now. Leeds must put out their best side and go full tilt until there are no more minutes left to play. Stick them all in an oxygen tank, get in the sports psychologist, faith healers, massage sessions, replay Phil Clarke's commentary on the last game, get out the highlights reel from the season, whatever it takes to get them playing like favourites and not the perennial underachievers this club produced before the last decade.

| It'd be foolish imo to rest them all and basically surrender any chance of that 100k prize money, especially given the current situation for next year in regards to a hooker and the lack of available ones, could be the difference in Us Paying a fee for a quality player, or getting a lacklustre one for free. It's also a guaranteed shot at another trophie regardless of how irrelevant many people may feel that trophie is. Resting players will by no means guarantee a GF spot, sure it'll make the players a little fresher, but for me a win may rejuvenate them too installing some confidence back in them after 3 defeats, they need to get this monkey off their back

| Also I'd like to had, it'd be embarrassing for me if we didn't win the LLS given the Leeds we've had at times.

| We should have left them all at home for the Catalans game. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though. I would rather see us at full tilt in a semi final, and we can only do that by resting tired bodies. People talk about Aiton. Yes, he's been great, but our big lads are missing tackles. That's what cost us on Thursday. 5 mad minutes at the start of both halves. Sod the LLS, we're already in the WCC. Old Trafford is what we should be aiming for

Agree with all this, but I think we need to sensible given the changes that will have to be made. Sounds like will be no Sir Kev as well as Robbie, I feel they should start the hudds game how they finished the cas game position wise. They will have had all this week to work on attacking and defensive positioning.
1-Hardaker
2-Briscoe
3-Watkins
4-Ablett
5-Hall
6-Moon
7-Mcguire
8-Garbutt
9-Lilley
10-JP
11-Keinhorst
12-Ward
13-Cuthbo
14-Delaney
15-Leuluai
16-Singo
17-Golding
If Jimmy isn't fit then Delaney up off the bench and walters onto the bench if Achurch isn't ready yet, Id have golding on the bench for some flexability in case of an injury, or maybe some tactical switch in the backs/halves.

Hmmm...yeah i might go with this. It would be interesting to see how Moon goes at SO and with Lilley at hooker they could interchange ...which would make Printer happy no end . Golding off the bench to see how he goes in the halves...mix it up!!!!
Problem is that first 13 IS how they ended up against Cas....and look how that turned out !!!
I would also prefer Keinhorst at centre with Ablett in 2nd row...in fact if there is a vacant place in the three-quarters i would get Handley in there with Briscoe to centre (they could interchange too) ... Keep the Giants guessing who's gonna play where. Hee hee
In all honesty without Burrow AND Sinfield (and Aiton and Sutcliffe) ....we're proverbially shagged. Wigan away it is then next match.....
