| With us and Wigan both on the same points with one game left, where will the RFL send the hub cap to be presented to the league leaders?

| Wherever it goes, people need to grow up, get their head out of their backside, and start showing a bit more respect to that trophy than calling it "a Hub cap".
Whoever wins that this year, as put in some shift, you only have to look at the table for that. It really takes some doing to do it, and the efforts of Huddersfield and Saints towards the end of the season has demonstrated that.
It is a much harder trophy to win than the CC, so utmost respect to whichever team gets it.

| Gotcha, it is a meaningless piece of hardware - it gets you nothing as the Giants demonstrated. Leeds winning the competition from 5th twice illustrates its value.
I agree whoever finishes top will have worked hard for the privilege

| Agree with Gotcha. We've got to stop disrespecting it quite as much as we do. Especially now that it does get you something as it gets you into the World Club Series.

| £100 k in the back pocket should get Mr Hetherington on their cases this week, I bet he had already spent it pre Wembley.

| I've always regarded the LLS as the undoubted accomplishment it is. Still call it the hub cap from time to time though. Is that ok?

| I don't think it's disrespectful calling a trophy by something it looks like. It's just a nickname for it, no disrespect. I think you're going overboard calling people disrespectful for calling it a hub cap.

Yeah I agree, it's just a name. They could do with designing a new trophy for it because let's be honest it does look a bit tragic. I'm sure you could design something that's better than what is awarded now but not as impressive/eye catching as the GF trophy. Something along the lines of the old WCC trophy (simple but not on the level of the GF/CC trophies) before they redesigned that this year.

| The LLS should now be a Cup in keeping with it's new enhanced status. It certainly has become more difficult to achieve especially for the CC finalists.

| It would help if SKY promoted it as a worthy achievement - instead of tossing it in as little more than an afterthought.
Whether you prefer the playoff system or not - finishing top of the league ladder after a long and grueling season is something one should feel proud of.
I mean, the Americans have always made a big deal out of finishing divisional champions - whether it be NFL, MLB or Basketball.
We should do similarly.

| I think it would help if Sky and the game in general referred to the LLS winners as the League Champions.

| Have they actually given the LLS a proper name? Perhaps, they should consider naming it after a legendary player, or something similar.

| 100k, home semi final, the Friday night semi final, place in the wcs against the second best team in the NRL, a trophy. It has a lot riding on it now and does deserve a lot more respect than it gets.

If you do that then the Grand Final becomes irrelevant. For it to be a showpiece and generate high attendances and some media exposure it has to be the pinnacle of the season.
Agree with Charlie Sheen, it could with a name to the trophy to give it some additional meaning.
The 1895 League Trophy?
Or as you say, maybe a player? The Clive Sullivan Trophy?
