| A lot of hype surrounding Watkins as usual. JP awesome as always. Cuthbertson a revelation, but for me Stevie Ward has been our best player so far. The amount of defensive graft he does is immense. Agree or disagree?

| Ward, Aiton, McGuire, and for the first half of year Cuthbertson, have certainly been the stand outs in terms of consistency. Yes, Watkins has had some great moments, but certainly not consistent, Moon has been a better consistent centre.
I don't think Peacock has been anything like his previous years, and others have not done it consistently enough.
For me I would say Ward also for what he has brought.

| Cuthbertson.
Honourable mentions for Ward, Hardaker and Aiton, but even though Ward has been very good it's more noticeable because of his improvement and if you take it game by game Cuthbertson has actually played better more often. I'd say he's the leading contender for Man Of Steel too.

| In recent weeks Ablett has really found some form.
Overall, Aiton, McGuire or Cuthbertson.

| Its been a good team effort but Handley, Sutcliffe and Singleton have all shone despite limited experience whilst McGuire, Hardaker have been outstanding.
BUT
Cuthbertson has my vote - Great impact player and has certainly moved the team forward

| No mention of Hardaker in the list? For me the fact that so many names are in the hat for the player of the year, exemplifies the fact that the team are having a great year overall so far.
My vote probably goes with Cuthbertson
Sorry Pep, you mentioned Hardaker whilst I was typing

I love playing for him. I can't praise him enough, I've so much respect for him and I hope he's here for a very long time." Kevin Sinfield 29/9/12:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_68506.jpg |

| My player of the year is whoever is big enough to replace Kevin Sinfield. Whoever he is, wherever he's currently playing - he must be pretty awesome.

| As somebody mentioned earlier, the fact we have a few contenders means the team as a whole is playing well, but for different reasons, I would single out Cuthbertson, Aiton, McGuire and Hardaker.

| McGuire for me. Some of his passing is exceptional. The type of skill that if an Aussie were doing it in the NRL we'd be waxing lyrical and complaining about how we can never produce a player who can do it.

| Maybe because we've been missing a proper hooker for a while now I'd go Aiton. Cuthbertson and Ward have had good seasons but would they and other forwards have done as well in attack with Burrow at 9 and also they'd have had to do a load more tackling too.
McGuire is racking up the try assists and Hardaker after a steady start to the year is hitting some form even though he's had to miss a few games recently. Moon was another I thought got off to a slow start after the first 4/5 games but since Catalans away he's been a strong performer.

| You could make a genuine case for a few which shows we are having a good year.I would pick Cuthbertson myself, infact he must be in with a real chance of ending our MOS drought if he can keep it going until September.

His miss-passes to Hall have been exceptional of late. Like Webb (but backwards).
My player of the year would be Ward. Loads of effort and makes plenty of meters too.
Cutherberton IMO is up there, as his inclusion has seemed to have inspired the team to play a bit more open. THough he has been quiet in recent weeks.
Ablett has been good recently, though people were writing him off about 3 weeks ago
