| Inspired move by the Sleeve. What better way for Peacock and Sir Kev to bow out after their Grand Final triumph.

| Warrington and Wigan play in WCC games that are meaningless and thar won't attract the same kind of attendance as it would for the main prize game....and in the process effect their league campaign by going through such a tough physical battle.
Leeds sit back and watch and organise a game vs NZ that won't effect their league campaign and will probably sell better than those meaningless WCC games.
A bigger money spinner AFTER the league season ends

Why? Judging by the previous WCC games at Headingley it's not unthinkable. Add in the possibility of it being Sinfield, Peacock and Kylie's last game for the club and I think a 20k+ crowd becomes likely.

As doubtful as the time you said Peacock's testimonial would struggle to get 6k, yet it reached 5 figures comfortably?
Wigan got 20,800 this year
We got over 21k in 2012
We got 20,400 in 2013
Given the novelty of seeing a touring test team play, add to the possibilty of Sinfield/Peacock bowing out and that the tickets are going on sale this week which gives more time than any of those WCC games then a full house seems very likely.....whatever a full house is allowed to be nowadays at Headingley.

| Excellent news. And frankly, who gives a flying one whether the crowd beats some arbitrary figure that Wigan got? This is the first time in 20 years Leeds have had a game against a touring international side. Savour it, enjoy it and hope it's as brutal as the last game against a touring New Zealand side (1989?).
Presumably Leeds won't have anyone available who makes the England squad?

The fact that JP can't really get suspended should make things extra interesting.

| Looking forward to this, although without england squad members we could be a little bare especially in the backs.
Apparently peacock and Sinfield won't play either according to Pete smith.

Well that is one issue with the game.
Watkins and Hall are shoe-ins for England, as is probably Hardaker for the squad even if he has to stay behind Tomkins.
Ablettt hasn't had the strongest start to the season but you can't rule him out of contention and both StevieWard and even Singleton are staking claims. Add to that the reinvigorated McGuire and the possible inclusion of Cuthbertson......along with Sinfield and Peacock deciding that the playoffs/GF should be there swansong then it could a VERY depleted Rhinos lineup.
You'd like to think though especially in Peacock's case that when push comes to shove, he couldn't resist one last crack at an International team.

| It's got anti climax written all over it. Its ok, and I will be purchasing my ticket as soon as they are out, but it's not going to be a great game like people are making out. I may be missing something but it's gonna be Leeds academy vs Kiwis.
1, Zak, Watkins, Hall and maybe Cuthertson and Ward will be on the England squad.
2, Peter Smith (YEP) has already said on Twitter that even at this early stage it look as though Kev and JP won't play. And that is probably right too..they want to bow out at Old Trafford, the perfect end, not a friendly two weeks after the season has ended. I should imagine JP will want to have his feet up and Kev will be having a rest until his Carnegie contract starts on Nov 1st.
3, Those needing off season surgery. How many is that usually? 4/5 players? Getting them under the knife asap will the priority so they are ready in time for 2016 and a good preseason, not delaying it.
How many does that leave? Take those England boys out and we will get hammered.
