| I have just got back in. Went to London other week also. This was far worse. At least at London the youngsters produced some good play for most of the match. This was diabolical tonight,
This is easily the worst Rhinos side of the last twelve years, whether they have the Mickey Mouse cup or not.
So many bad performances tonight throughout the side, so unfair to pick out individuals.

| Should have played a weakened team.
Said it as soon as we lost against wigan and never felt otherwise.

| Agree , but every team we put out at the moment seems a weakened team even if we are at full strength .
Still never write off the Rhino's

What difference would that have made? Next week would have been same side as this, and this performance would have happened then.
We needed to start playing, but we were worse than ever. Thank god Hull came back and won, otherwise we were just papering over cracks. The defeat might give them a kick.

This was always going to be a poor performance because there was nothing to play for and all eyes would be on the playoffs.
There was more to gain from resting the big guns than having them play at less than full intensity.

No I agree with Gotcha along the lines of kick up the ar*e line.
We win tonight comfortably and what? Meh, expected.
That's a wake up call to get their act together to what it'll take to win the GF.

They already know what it takes. 90% of the players have been there anddone it, from similiar circumstances.
They put in a massive effort against saints when league position still had potential and CC box was ticked. But against wigan last week they looked very jaded and then this week had nothing to play for. The big guns should have been rested. It was going to be a poor performance no matter what team was played, but this way we have placed undue fatigue on the main players ahead of the playoffs.

Real solid point you make there. Listening on the radio it became obvious pretty quick that win or lose the performance was shocking. But next week is a clean slate and hopefully the week after.
Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water.

Speaking of radio, presuming you listened to the same commentary......how f**king dreadful is that Gweeffuwyl (or whatever he's called) bloke on the commentary, granted the game didn't seem to be the best but f**k me all is forgiven Eddie and Stevo.

.....I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. There is still one more match before the real play offs begin.
I still believe the hunger for the GF will not be as great this time; the CC was the biggest prize for this set of players. They are all yet another year older with an ever diminishing amount of ideas in attack. This year's GF will be a game too far.....BUT ......then again if the weather turns nasty and Leeds can better utilise their grinding it out in a committed defensive display they might just do it again.
I agree though that I am glad I am not a paying spectator these days for the regular league gamesthey[/i want to. The lack of attacking acumen though will be their potential downfall.
Let's hope it rains from herein

| from a hull perspective i thought you were very poor in the first half (as were we) until burrow came on, he seemed to enthuse the team for a short while. not sure about your other hooker aiton, he's a live wire but took a lot of wrong options. seemed to me a lot of your lot were holding a bit back, maybe in case of injury, peacock and mcguire especially. still the play offs are a completely different thing, you were the masters of this a couple of years ago, but perhaps too many of your players are ageing all at the same time
and if you are referring to gwyllim lloyd doing the commentary on radio humberside, the man's an ass, all hull fans want him booted off air as he's a complete idiot who loves the sound of his own voice
