| Good to see England RU progressing with important contributions from the Headingley connection. Coach Stuart Lancaster, Danny Care and Luther Burrell (all ex Leeds RU) I tipped Burrell last year to make the team. The RL connections are also doing well with Owen Farrell a fixture at 10 (also tipped) and in comanding form against Wales (and his Dad coaching) and waiting in the wings 1st reserve fly half George Ford (son of Mike) another tip.

| I still don't rate Farrell that highly, he's probably the best fly half in the NH, but there's a dirge of decent fly halfs in Europe at the moment. I still also think Eastmond will we one of the centres in the world cup if he stays fit.

Owen Farrell better than Johnny Sexton? Not sure about that.
I couldn't believe how poor Wales were.
Offered nothing in our 20 m area, only kept in it by Halfpenny's kicking.
Time to reduce the penalty to 2 points I think.
But I guess that could mean even more penalties conceded.

At the moment but only just, sexton is twenty eight whilst farrel is only twenty two so obviously has a lot more experience .
Farrell is improving game on game with the odd blip, potentially he could be a better player than sexton.

But the statement was made that Farrell is now the best no 10 in the NH, not that he may be when he's the same age as Sexton.
He's a very promising work in progress, as was Sexton when he first played in England, for the Leicester Tigers I believe, & then went back to Ireland & understudied Ronan O'Gara.

| Quite a few lads running around in the Premiership that came through the Carnegie academy setup, and I think there were three in the England U20s squad for their Six Nations campaign?
It's a successful, well run academy which picks up a lot of the best talent in Yorkshire

| Owen Farrell was good enough to be the reserve flyhalf on the succesfull Lions tour as a raw young talent. He is developing all the time and gave a very mature display against Wales on Sunday and is rated very highly by the likes of Clive Woodward and Ian McGeechan. With young George Ford in reserve at 10 and perhaps Burgess and Eastmond to come into contention the run up to the World Cup will be interesting.
I am pleased also to see how well Stuart Lancaster is developing his young team with firstly a strong defence and now a willingness to attack.

That is my point entirely.
The initial comment was that Farrell was the best flay half in the NH and i disagree with that.
However, I wouldn't argue that he's got a good chance of being as good as Sexton in a few years time.
