| Has anyone taken advantage of this yet?
My motor is due for its MOT this month, I have my membership sorted, but I'm wary of excessive 'additional costs' occurring on inspection.

| It's been a while since I've had an MOT, but I've historically always been wary of free or discounted MOTs / free inspections - they're usually anything but.
If your car is in decent nick and has been serviced regularly, book it into the local council centre. They don't do repairs, but that removes the temptation for them to flog stuff that probably isn't needed.

probably right to be cynical.
If they are waiving the £30-40 test fee, you feel they will make it back somewhere else.
I wouldn't move garage for this 'offer'.

| Thinking about it, you wont be obliged to let them do whatever they state needs doing. If it looks pricey or dodge, just accept the free fail slip and go elsewhere. just eats into peoples time / faffing about.

| Just had car in for MOT at Global Autocare using the free voucher and car passed with no problems.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Gave plenty of advice on other car issues not related to the MOT.
Never heard of Global before Rhinos sponsorship but would probs take car there for next MOT even without a voucher as i couldn't fault the place.
