The pass from Watkins to Jones-Bishop was none of these, indeed in rugby terms it was entirely legitimate as the ball did not appear to leave Watkins hands in a forward direction.

Over the weekend it was finally great to hear Stuart Cummings clearly define why the Menzies 'try' was ruled out at the KC and why Sinfield was adjudged to have knocked on the inside pass from Hall despite the ball ending behind the Leeds captain's run.

Well done to all the match officials in those instances and to Cummings for preventing the Sky commentary team going into their usual ignorance inspired meltdown all for the sake of creating controversy where none need exist.

It has been a great move from Sky to put Cummins in the commentary box. His knowledge/insight into how ref will interpret certain situations has been a real breath of fresh air. With the added bonus of shutting those 2 inept dinosaurs up. I overheard Stevo babbling on a couple of weeks ago saying next season was his last, god I hope so - and please take toupee with you.
