| I wanted to post on your forum but for some reason I appear to be banned from there. No idea why but there you are.
Anyway, yesterday we were sat in the North West Quadrant amongst the Wire fans and I have to say they were an absolute credit to their club. I'm sure there will be threads about drunks, bad behaviour etc but the dozen or so of us had no issues amongst the Warrington fans. We discussed incidents during the game, they were knowledgeable, polite and friendly. They stayed to cheer their team till the end and were a real credit to their club.
As someone who goes every year and books tickets early therefore am often sat with away fans I enjoyed the night a great deal thanks to their "company". Better, in fact, than the Leeds fans I was sat amongst at the Challenge Cup Final.

| Had absolutely no issues with the Wire fans yesterday - a bit of banter in the Railway Club before the game but at no point did I feel threatened or uncomfortable.
Not like them bog brushers.

| Cheers G1 thanks for your comments.
Problem with these forums is it becomes a points scoring exercise about who has the worst fans.
I sat with in the Leeds end yesterday as I went with a group of Leeds fans that I go to the GF with every year. I knew I wouldn't have any problems as I never do. I actually had the same experience as G1 in that yesterday for me personally was a better experience than the CC Final where I was sat with Wire fans and there were a few drunken idiots around me, they weren't fighting or anything like that just being obnoxious and irritating.
I think the problem with all these big games, and it is compounded when you have a 6pm kick off so people can spend all afternoon drinking, is there are a lot of non RL fans or non regular RL fans that just come for this occasion every year and for a day out on the lash. Whilst the money they spend on tickets is important for the game, they can tend to spoil things for regular fans.
Regular RL fans have more vested interest in behaving well and upholding the game's family image plus they are more interested in the game itself. The tagger alongers don't care so much about the reputation of RL and as they know less about the game they are less focused on the intricacies of whats going on on the pitch and more about the tribalism between the fans. You can always spot these types at any big games, if they are sat near the front of their stand, because they spend half the game turning round and looking at the fans behind them, either making the ham shanker gesture at fans of the opposition when they have just conceded a try, or berating their own fans for not singing loud enough.

| Myself and my wife ended up in the Trafford pub which was 90% Leeds fans - we both had Warrington shirts on and the banter was fantastic with the majority. Even better was the fun banter at the tram stop after nothing nasty just good laugh with some great people.

| I ended up in the Wire end at Wembley and they were all fine, we had some good banter and all enjoyed it.
Yesterday when we were walking away from the ground a young Wire lad of about 10 came over to us and said well played- credit to his club.
Here's to all the true fans of the game and well played Warrington.

Oi ..... who's this lot I'm being linked to? Don't tell me I've got to change my name or forever be associated with some gang of low lifes .....
Problems inside the ground at both ends have been well documented on here so wont mention them further. I had a good laugh before & after the game with many Leeds fans up by the Trafford Arms/towards cricket ground; only potential flare ups were with some idiots outside the ground with no team colours but Manc accents goading everyone - they had a go at my lad 'til I intervened and they scattered (no surprise there), then at some Hull fans, then some Leeds fans ... go figure where they were from!! And one idiotic Leeds 'fan' on the way back to the car after the game who decided to shout directly in my lads face "W*&ky W*%ky Warrington", then got a massive clout on the head from one of his own group and dragged off across the road towards a coach - which is exactly what I'd have done had a Wire fan behaved in that way to any Leeds fans after the CC final!

| No problems in the £41 seats apart from some tart wearing a warrington hat (but was only Wire for a day) who decided to smuggle bottles of beer into the seats. He was swiftly identified and told to leave the seats. didnt see him for the rest of the game.
