| Over the past few weeks, various contributors ([isupporters)[/i have suggested getting rid of or dropping
Sir Kev
Rob Burrow
Danny Mcguire
Peacock
Darrell Griffin
Ryan Bailey
and, it goes without saying, the favourite whipping boy
Ian Kirke.
I just wonder who they want to add to the list after Saturday's dismall performance.
I would suspect JJB is a prime candidate as he had a poor game?
Surely the cup final is the ideal chance to give some of the young up and coming players a chance to shine!!!!!

Nay, come on, he was one of Leeds' best players on Saturday, esp. the feed for that first try ... and the 40-20 that he deigned not to stop.

I don't see what the big fuss is over Tomkins, he's a poor man's Francis Meli.

He sure was...it was like having 14 players on the pitch.
And don't forget that great sidestep when he went crying to the wonderful ref claiming an alleged (cough!) forward pass in order to let Hardaker score under the posts.
What a star

Nothing wrong with rotation or replacing players out of form then maybe we'd get more performances ala the last couple of weeks rather than the dross we've had a lot of times this year.
Dross btw the players and coaches agree weren't up to standard for us.
Also if you think all of the above were bang on form and worthy of selection at times then no matter how many times you post a "look at me" thread after a big win you'll still look a bigger t!t than anybody who called for certain changes when were sh##.

About time we got rid of the Ward lad, he's past it. You forgot Olds though, he needs to be in now.

But have you considered that had the coach rotated the players as often as you have been droning on about then perhaps the first teamers would not have regained their form. Or are you saying all these unproven youngsters would have beaten Wigan in the semi?
With most of the team out of form together which players would you have dropped and for how many matches? And would you have played those dropped players in the Junior team or rested them alltogether?

Droning on about???
Each p!sh performance was posted on for its own merits and IF any of them, had been dropped/rotated who's to say we wouldn't have recovered from the poor form and dross performances sooner!!
In terms of JP and Kylie absolutely they'd have taken a complete rest the lieks of Bish ,Kirke etc would have played u20's imo and Sinfield would of had at least 1 week off during the last 4 SL games.
How did Ward do aganst Wigan JC?
The coach himself on numerous occasions has offered up fatigue as a factor during post game interviews yet he didn't rotate over easter and kept picking payers off form.
Lets be straight though no i wouldn't expect a tem full of u20's to beat Wigan in a semi-final but look at what Wigans decimated team did to us at HQ with a load of kids in!!
Also in these awful matches 3 subs used is that sound by you and should we just not mention it when in reality when the games gone why not save players like JP ,Sinny and Burrow etc etc?
Or again is that disloyal or unreasonable?
Also IF we'd lost on saturday with that effort id have no complaints whatsoever because they never gave up its never been about winning or have a divine right to win just use the 30 man squad and at least react to things that happen over and over again i.e defence on our line ,over-use of Props ,utilise your bench etc.
Players like Sinfield ,Burrow ,Mcguire etc etc all the golden generation came through together but also because someone wasn't performing so they fully understand about players getting selected on form i.e Ward.
There's nothing wrong with rewarding top performances within the u20's especially when the 1st team wee in such a rut of bad form not just the odd blip a complete rut.

| I understand McDermott not rotating his team this last month as I think we needed to build a bit of momentum for the semi, but I think where the problem has come has been that there appears to have been no foresight to see that people would get fatigued at that stage of the season, and that we'd have lots of bodies involved with the origin games.
Rotating one or two guys each week wouldn't have had altered the ability of the team too much and would have prevented a large amount of fatigue.
Even a better rotation of his matchday 17 would have improved things a little.
Personally I think its the Challenge Cup or bust this season. I can't see the team being able to get itself up for the WCC, then the CC then again for the play-offs. I hope it does, and if any team can its us, but I think the CC is our best chance of silverware, and I think everything will be thrown at winning it
