We don't have a football team in Leeds, the citizens of this enlightened city realised long ago that the game is a sham of its former self and abandoned it, leaving only scousers to continue the lie of "the beautiful game of cheats, liars and scoundrels".

As a belated Christmas present for my lad - and the Forest team - I took him last night and boy oh boy! I looked at Billy as we walked past his statue on the way to the car and thought "Never in your day!" As bad as Sprake was he would never have let that many in. Sadly, why they got rid of Schmeichel and replaced him with someone who was to blame more often than not at Preston I can only assume it was financial. On the whole, Forest were allowed to exploit the Leeds left flank which does mean that Uncle Ken might just have to spend some money on new players. The long ball tactic works well if the person you are aiming for is taller and can outjump the person who is marking him. Guess what - Becchio wasn't and couldn't!
For someone who started attending Elland Road in the late sixties and early seventies it was a very very sad evening.
