| What do people think to these stands?
Seems like the away fans are always put here, behind the sticks, where nobody else wants to go.
Its appears to be less and less stadiums where you can pay just for ground admission. So once you're in you can roam around and stand pretty much where you want. Just like the grounds at Cas and Bradista n.
I personally think the view behind the sticks isn't as good. As you have no perspective and haven't the foggiest whats going on at the other end of the pitch. The only exception to this the DW Stadium where you can sit miles high up to get a better perspective.
I vaguely remember going to watch Leeds as a kid and fans swapping ends at half time.

| The last 'half time end change' I can remember at HQ was in 2005 - against 'ull FC.
I must agree - the view from the Western Terrace is terrible. On the occasions I have stood there you end up surrounded by away supporters and you can't see a thing.

IMO your quote is just as inappropriate as Benny C's.

200 million years ago (the Triassic era) Lossiemouth had large spreads of silts, sands and pebbly gravels in which a wide diversity of reptile fauna was preserved.
I think we may have inadvertently stumbled upon a previously unknown dinosaur.

| Putting to one side the OP's prejudices, i like a mix, behind the sticks gives a great view of lines being run, and holes in defence and also how the defences slide.

| I prefer standing behind the sticks. In stadiums with corners I prefer the corner to get a good perspective.
As for the OPs ill judged comment, this isnt east is east

| Prefer the centre line myself. Always seem to see gaps that in the defence that don't exist when behind the sticks.

| Can I be the slow one and ask what the OP said that's offensive? I just don't get it. Is it "Bradista"?
As for the view, I started behind the posts in the West Stand, then moved to the seats in the North Stand, and graduated to the South Stand. I don't think I ever spent a whole game in the East Stand. Much prefer being side on to paly. The last time I stood in the West Stand (vs Wigan a long time ago when Edwards was playing) I couldn't understand how the heck people were apparently seeing 'offside' and 'forward pass' from there.

| My preference given a choice is down the side.
However, I don't think there is a better view at any of our weekly club stadiums than behind the sticks in the upper of the Carnegie stand at Headingley.
