Can't blame him if he does. He has been treated abysmally IMO, losing the hooking spot to a guy who is wholly unsuited to the role ( unless from the bench for a shorter duration ) .....and epitomised by spending a whole match uselessly and inexcusably on a bench.

From what I've seen of McShane, Burrow is a better starting option at the moment, that's not me saying Burrow should be the starter. The hooking position is I believe our weak spot.

As for McShane losing the hooking spot, it was never is to lose as he's yet to earn it.

Hope I proved wrong about McShane and he turns out to be Star performer for Leeds.

I myself am surprised he hasn't been given the opportunity to solidify a starting role from round one but I am sure a long hard season will see him get his chances.......he just has to ensure he takes them.

That might be ... But then that's surely even more reason to give the lad a starting spot ....at least until Hood is fit again. Why select him to do nothing but sit on a bench for 80 minutes ?

Perhaps, unbeknown to us mere mortals who think we're a coach, the coach was doing it for a reason and decided that because the forwards were getting beaten, there was no point risking some of our youngsters that may prove pivotal the following week? Or maybe there's a conspiracy.....

I personaly belief that Mc didn't think Mcshane quiet ready for Manly and therefore elected to run with Burrow until after WCC giving him time to prepare. If it comes off all well and good, not lost a lot if it doesn't. Personaly think its a waste of talent but I also thought the coach was not up to it so what do I know.Mc Shane will get his chance and for me is still well in front of Hood.

McShane didn't get on at Wigan because Smith got injured and we ran out of substitutions under the new rules. True story, our coach said so.

We have only played 2 games! I am sure McShane has a lot more patience than you appear to have and will take his opportunity when it comes. I guess he also he has been kept quite busy with his work and doesn't have the same spare time as you to dwell on such things. How many threads have you posted on this same selection topic now?
