Hi just wondering why he wasn't in the team at the weekend and will he be in the team for this weekend? I am at Wigan Fan but I think hes a brilliant player and can't find anywhere that he's injured and if hes not injured why isn't he in the team?

Brilliant young player and he had a cracker of a season last year and he caused problems for us all the time!

Has been in poor form over the pre-season which has meant Smith is preferred. Hopefully just a temporary glitch and will be back in the team soon no doubt.

Yea thats true... Fighting for places is what you want in todays game. Last season Smith was out of favour and Ben Jones Bishop was in high form... Hope he gets back playing again and good luck for Saturday should be a good game.

Smith was highly praised pre-season by one of the coaching staff for his efforts and commitment in training.

BJB's been playing in the 20's apparently so just looks like a case of Smith preffered in that position at the moment.

BMc did say that squad no's this year were no way a sign of who would be picked in the starting line up each week, we would presume the full strength team to be 1-13 but last weeks 'full strength' team omitted BJB and included Smith.

Its not a bad option to have Smith starting with BJB waiting in the wings!
