| A lot of spectators may not be aware of new traffic measures opposite the kirkstall lane entrance, as well as current and extensive road works opposite the ground and the roads leading up to ash road there are new restrictions moving through these road.
The only road that now leads through to st chads is on headingley mount.
All access to headingley mount is now closed except from kirkstall lane itself.
If you park in the side streets opposite the kirkstall lane entrance be ready for chaos tomorrow as people get used to the new restrictions

| Aren't there some miserable people around ?
You buy a house in the next street to a huge sports stadia and then get all upset when once a fortnight your street gets busy for two hours - I live in a street that has a primary school at the top of it and twice a day for about 40 weeks a year it gets blocked with dateless women in huge 4wd cars trying to deliver their kinder to the school - do I get all uppity, no of course not.
Apart from throwing bricks at them.

| Same thing we've got at the moment with my village Cricket Team.
We've got a few houses that are overlooking the field, nobody has complained in the 17 years I've been at the club. We now have a new resident and they've put all sorts up to try and keep the Cricket ball from going in there Garden.
We are now not allowed to retrive the ball if it goes in the Garden.
I'm sorry but you buy a house that is overlooking a Cricket Field you expect at some stage for that ball to enter the garden.
We used to park on the street just by the snicket behind the Western Terrace now all that street is Permit Only!!

| Send me the address of that street and I'll bring my German Shepherd around for a little walk - I can give you a cast iron guarantee that within 60 seconds of him getting out of the car he'll do the biggest dump you've ever seen wherever he cares to with absolutely no shame - absolutely cast iron guarantee.
I normally have to pick it all up while he watches and laughs but I'll make an exception for assholes who buy houses with a cricket field view and then object to cricket.

| These restrictions on this occasion have nothing to do with the stadium is my understanding its about "Rat Runs" at peak traffic time and traffic flow , double yellow lines at the end of the streets have been put in place to allow the council refuse vehicle turning space so it can get up and down the streets , some times it was weeks before bins were emptied and street were missed due to the vehicle not having been able to get round the streets due to the parked cars at the end of them

| As above it is not parking restrictions.
They have now blocked lots of roads off so you cannot now cut through to the St Chads and miss the North Lane congestion, once you enter these streets a lot of them are now dead ends and
you cannot now get back out of without turning round.
Until people know these road closures it will cause bedllam and increase significantly travelling along Kirstall Lane and North Lane

| I Agree totally - North Lane and traffic potentially now going down ash road will be rammed and streets are dead ends
i have reservations on these blocked roads - i live on ash road and have done for over 40 years , if it does not workl out long term i will be trying to get them over turned thee is a whiff of NIMBY - By ash road residents association , access points have been closed for the rat runs but they are also used by local residents so we are losing out also it residents on top of headingley mount through to st chads you have to thank for this not ash road residents

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
Frederick Douglas:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_30596.jpg |

| I live behind a cricket ground, the bottom of my garden is about ten metres back from the boundary and about six metres higher, when someone managed to get one in the garden all I could do was applaud.
I'd have been upset if they'd knocked my wine off the table but fortunately it missed.
