SUPER LEAGUE matches could be played on Monday nights this season.
It is believed Sky — whose ratings are high for rugby league — are looking to switch some games through the summer months.
Salford's match against Bradford on May 21 is pencilled in as the first.

| Don't like that idea keep the fixtures weekends only barring the odd Bank Holiday match.

| I dunno more coverage of the game would be better. I wish sky would do a live broadcast off a Friday night, Saturday early evening, Sunday early evening and then Monday. Four SL games a week would be lovely

Attendances at the games would fall through the floor. The game would be ruined for good.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

"Well the sun went down on me a long time ago"What I mean is when I was younger ,I would have to decide on Darts n doms or RL ?RL would have won,but I wonder if with the closure of pubs has eliminated the darts n doms where there were RL fans.I am now retired ,but I still prefer Friday nights.

More=Less
Two live games of over-hyped SL tedium per week is more than enough.
Sky struggle as it is to find two genuinely competitive, mouth-watering fixtures to broadcast each round.
With 4 live games a week, Salford, Widnes, Bradford, London, Wakefield and Huddersfield would have to be on every other week. It doesn't bear thinking about.

Just an idea, you could watch 1 of the other hundreds of channels that SKY offer!! Just because something is on TV doesnt mean you have to watch it, plenty of others will!!
Everybody on this forum understands that you dont think the standard of SL is any good and is vastly inferior to the NRL, you dont need to mention it again. Please change your tune (and your name again) and try come up with something new and interesting!!

| Where in the link does it state that the Monday coverage will be additional to what we already have?
Unless told otherwise, I'd guess that Sky will shift friday/saturday games when there's something else they wish to show.

It doesn't. It's merely wishful thinking by a few on this thread who enjoy a full-on relationship with their armchairs.

Sky require a Monday night 'live' filler during the soccer off-season, so they may trial a shifting of SL from the early Saturday evening slot. It is alleged that Salford V Bradford (how mouth-wateringly exciting is that prospect, eh?) will be the first SL game to be trialled on a Monday evening.
