Lets get serious. We were not as well supported in eitehr the semi or final as we have been in the past. You cant blame fans, econimic issues and a poor side mean fewer people bothered.

Take the semi. It was a local derby and not too far for either lcub yet we only got 13k fans. Ive not looked for the figures but I bet there were more watching us play Saints a few years back.

Some Wigan fans will embelish the truth, but all clubs have fans like that.

Wigan have very good support and attendances.

The media also played a role. I doubt them writing us off to the extent they did put of many of our 14k regulars. Where it will have had an effect is amongst the 14k bandwagoners that might otherwise have gone.
