The two 'best' choices on the list of replacements put together by Newcastle have decided to retire instead (Tongue and Ryan) and so the Knights are looking at putting a transfer fee offer forward but have already indicated to Leeds that they expect to pay less than the Bulldogs had to pay to release Eastwood early given the difference in their ages

Buderus has made it clear he won't leave Leeds in the lurch and is happy to see out his current deal with the club.

However if Gary Hetherington says 'you're released' he'll probably be on the next available flight home.

I hope he stays as I don't see a suitable replacement out there and Leeds would be significantly weakened in the hooking department having already released Diskin previously.

I'm ambivalent. Let's get the Hood era started sooner rather than later if Buderus doesn't want to be here.

Not bothered either. At most he'll be here for one more year then retire. Given the other players with one year deals for next season, it may actually be easier if he goes before next year, otherwise 2013 is already looking a mess. Again though, if he stays I'll support him in any event.

Definately going he has been granted a release for next year not sure who there bringing in to replace him but there not thinking about Hood for atleast another year or 2 Shame because the kids a real talent and i think he could go well sharing the role with Mcshane

I thought McShane was going to blossom after his early showings,his last couple of run outs he wasn't as keen and hungry and has since fallen out of favour
