Staying @ Watford, what is best stop to get of on underground, Wembley Park on central ???

If you prefer the "traditional" walk to the Stadium - i.e. via Empire (Wembley?) Way, you need Wembley Park. You're straight down the steps into the pedestrianised walkway.

You'll have to do a double take though if you want to head to the nearest, atmospheric watering hole, being The Torch.

Watford has 3 stations, Watford Junction and Watford High Street are on the Overground line (orange on the tube map) and will brng you in to Wembley Central station which is in the town, a little further away from the stadium but better for pubs etc. Watford underground station is on the Metropolitan line and will bring you into Wembley Park station which is the big tube station at the end of Wembley way.

Last year, and we will probably do the same this year, we got the overground line and headed to a few of the pubs, and then did the short walk to the ground.

Wembley Park is the best, can see the ground as you come out of the station. Highly recommend the Green Man for drinking, massive beer garden out back!

What's everyone's plans for tomorrow then?

Should be arriving at Kings Cross just after 10, may have a few around Central London then head on over to the nearest "Rhinos pub" towards the Stadium.

I'll be leaving Barnsley at 5:25, getting the train to Sheffield, then onto the London train arriving at St Pancras at 8:36. Plan to grab some breakfast and then have a whistlestop jaunt around central London.

Head up to Wembley for midday, hit Aldi/Lidl and then soak up the atmosphere (and the beer) on Wembley Way.

Will try not to get my face painted with an industrial paint like last year That was hastily scrubbed off after the game....

set off at 8, drive to stanmore, park up, lunch, then tube in.

Leaving Leeds @ 7am Saturday, hopefull at Watford 11 half 11. Check in hotel then looks like overground is best route to the public houses nr Wembley.
