Last year I just set my SatNav for Wembley, looked at when it was only a mile-ish away and then pulled into the first "Match Day Parking" sign I saw.
There's loads of office blocks in the area that use their car parks on a weekend to make a few extra quid. Cost me a fiver, and it had a security barrier and an attended. He had a high-vis jacket on and everything. In fact, he even opened the office to let my bro-in-law go for a p[ii[/iss.
I'll be shocked if you find it a problem. I'll be doing the same this year and hoping to remember which car park it was when I see it.
We walked passed loads of others en route to the ground. Could've probably got closer but we were happy with a bit of a walk. It escapes the crowds on the way out.

| Thanks for the advice, I'll try that, just wasn't sure that there would be a lot available without pre-booking.
Don't mind a walk and five sounds a lot cheaper than the 25 that I have seen online!

| Stick it on some double yellow lines.
If you're lucky, you might get the valet parking man to come round and take your car off you and you only have to pay him a small tip.

To be fair... a £30 parking ticket would still be cheaper than the £40 he'd seen online!

| £40 to park your car at Wembley
Yet another good reason why it should have been built in the West Midlands.

Never tried parking in London before have you?
Personally, I've always found parking up at a tube station to be the best way.

It's the £30 parking fine that surprised me.
It that's all it cost, it'd be cheaper to leave the car on double reds / yellows than find a multi-story in London

| Double red are a tow away I think??
Best to leave on outskirts near a tube as said.
I've parked well out and got a train in before, think I went from Elstree/ Borehamwood

Yes. There was a slight element of tongue in cheek to my original mention of it mate. I appreciate the streets would be littered with cars if it were really that easy.
Just out of interest... What's the different between double red and double yellow lines?
I was under the impression that double yellows meant "No parking, or waiting, or stopping to set down and pick up passengers, full stop. Just don't stop here. End of". So what do the red ones mean?

Just spotted that!
I've googled it, you can be towed from yellow too.
The crux of it is you can stop to pick up/put down passengers or to load/unload a car on a double yellow, but the reds are literally no stopping for any reason at all.
