Have been using Stanmore (Junction 4 M1) for previous finals but really fed up with the car park scrum after the match. Anybody got better alternatives.

Also going to purchase £8 day travel ticket for morning in London so would welcome suggestions for decent/current morning venue or exhibitions. We did "The British Museum Exhibition Treasures of Heaven: saints, relics and devotion in medieval Europe" recently and that filled the morning before down to Wembley.

Previous altenatives have been based around a "Wetherspoons full liquid breakfast from 10am onwards," but driving back - so that one's out.

Just trying to make the best of what will either be a great day or a repeat of last year if we fail to turn up again. Not bothered about having to win just want a decent performance and game! We were home for 9pm last year!!

Last year we parked on a street residential street in Northwood (for free) and got the tube in from there. Doing the same this year.

We've used Hillington twice before and found it ideal.

Quite handy for the M40 as well as in the past, we've found it quicker to avoid the M25 / M1 on the way back and instead, take the M40 to Oxford and the A43 past Silverstone, which joining the M1 at Northampton.

Harrow on the Hill is one we use mate no real problems thus far.

I've always parked at Stanmore when I have driven to Wembley but don't park in the station car park. There is plenty of street parking on the right just before you get to the station and it makes for a quicker get away.

Alternatively use the car park but leave a picnic in your car and celebrate a famous victory whilst watching everyone else fight to get out of the car park.

I`ve been advised to park up at Rickmansworth train station and get the train to Wembley.

Not sure which Wembley station is direct from there and how far it is from the stadium ????

Luton Airport Parkway, train into London then tube is an option.

We've always parked at Mill Hill East tube station when we get the tube.

im a quins fan that lives in uxbridge so park at hillingdon one stop back to uxbridge get the 222 bus to hounslow then the 281 i think to the stoop easy

Bless London fans .... I don't think this tread is aimed at your game, but rather the one we're playing in the week after (when London have gotten the weekend off) in another part of London.

For the record, I am working close to the capital on the Friday and have a hotel in the vicinity of the M25 ring and where I am staying is about 10 mins from a mainline station. Central London in about 40mins and several travel options around the northern edge of the metropolis.

Leaving my car there all day and collecting it afterwards to drive home. Should be about a good hour after all the finals traffic has hit the motorways and also I am taking the least well used of the ways North after the game.

I love it when a plan comes together !
