We won 44-16 mate and this group have a lot of potential.
Of course it can all change but i honestly think we could get at least 4 maybe 5 1st teamers out of the 17 on show today.
It all depends on the rest of their development and admittedly it's the 1st time i've seen this team live but if they continue to their undoubted potential we have a very good batch and the no10 Micky Learmonth showed some great touches and power for a Prop.
Both the u15 and u16 packs were very strong in the front row and both 9's looked sharp and commanding.

Thats a fantastic result, i think Saints came into the game unbeaten in the last two seasons.

Is Micky any relation to Lester Learmonth, who was at Leeds as a Colts player back in the 80s?

Don't know mate but he is a "unit" and very good with his hands definately a future 1st teamer if is development continues positively.

Micky Learmonth is paul mcshanes future bro-in-law. he's massive for 16 a real handful watched him play for hunslet warriors over the past couple of years, he got man of the match in the under 16s yorkshire cup final vs siddal this year. nearly every club in super league wanted to sign him so to get him is a real coup as far as i'm concerned added the fact he's a leeds fan probably swayed him. he has massive potential.

No sign of nantwichexile yet who'll no doubt want them all chucked into the first team when they hit 16!

well damo if he develops at the rate he is i can see him making his debut while he's still and academy player, he's very good.

If they good enough then I also agree that they old enough. But nantwichexile wants to see most of the team replaced by academy players NOW and that’s why I made a sarcastic response including his name. Mind you I’ve probably though the same as him at times this season
