| Is it coincidence that he seems to be playing much better with McShane getting more game time ?
Combinations are all important....and if it's the case that McShane is bringing out the best of Burrow then maybe - just maybe - he has to be elevated to our first choice hooker.
Both McShane and Burrow yesterday were sublime. Burrow seems to have learned at long last how to execute the good accurate short pass to his supporting forwards. Ablett and now Pitts have benefitted.
Pitts is another that deserves much credit yesterday...not only for his break, but for his scrambling defence and full 80 mins performance.

| I wish they'd either play one or the other. After a few pints and from half way up the SS, they looked rather similar!

| Pitts had his best game in a Leeds shirt yesterday IMHO.
McShane is really solving the headache of how to replace Buderus now, and with Hood coming along nicely in the 2nd team we look set at hooker for a while.

| I think we could let Buderus go at end of year and play Burrow as an impact player if their is any truth in Rangi Chase coming to Leeds.

Whilst i was one of the posters who mentioned his lack of early season form it's not something he's just got the grasp of.
Look back over his Rhinos career and it's something he's done for years now don't get me wrong he's had times when he's been out of form and had timing issues (as have his runners) but it's nothing new what he did yesterday.
He like the team are finding confidence ,consistency and form the fact Mcshane has had a positive impact is a bonus and has helped the team increase confidence and form.

| Burrow showed all those doubters that he is still a class act. But like all halfbacks needs the pack to put us on the front foot therefore I think his return to form is more to do with injured players coming back and two other ball players forming the triangle.
Also its good to see our off load game is still alive.
McShane continues his improvement and on his recent excellent form deserves to be in the squad but not inplace of Buderus just yet. On Saturday after the new injuries disrupted our line up, Buderus jumped between playing hooker and a sort of loose forward role and covered a huge amount of ground in defence. After Hall made that great tackle back to save a try it was Buderus and Pitts (showing good all round rugby skills) who also got back to form a goal line defence, which had Crusaders not passed forward, would have prevented a try in any case.
It maybe for some of the next 3 tough SL games Buderus could play some of the time as a ball playing 13?

It's a role he and Mcshane seem to share when both are on the pitch at the same time mate.
We do have more "creative" options now young Macca is stepping up to the plate and it can't do any harm whilst we are missing Mags and Webby.

I think that defensive play by Hall, Buderus and Pitts was probably better to watch than any of tries.
Buderus also made that great try saving tackle on Sammut.
