Does anyone know of a masters team, preferably in the Burley/Kirkstall/Headingley areas? I currently play in the Tag Merit League but miss the physical contact of "proper" rugby. I fall into the 40-45 age bracket. Cheers

I played against milford last year mate who play at kirkstall.

I don't think Milford have a 'vets' team or if they do I've not seen anything about them.

wetherby have a vets side but that may be too far away

They may not have a team that plays in a comp but like the team I played for if you played 3 masters games your club received £1000 from the RFL so they may have formed it for that reason but I am sure if he asks someone up there he will be sorted . We also played Stanningley

Just spoken to a mate that plays masters . He is at West Leeds , but says there are teams at East Leeds and Milford .

I've checked with Milford but they don't appear to have a Masters team, however West Leeds isn't that far away, can you find out where/when they train/play, cheers.

I've been in touch with Red Hall and they are hopefully gonna send me a list of local Masters/ tag/ touch teams.

East Leeds played last year along with Milford against us and A n Other team at Milfords ground

Milford do have a masters team. We have been playing for 2 years now. new players are always welcome.

I've obviously been talking to the wrong people at Milford!
Where/when is training please?

We usually start around mid to end of March. Just waiting on some info at present. We played a few games last year against West Leeds and Wetherby. Summer rugby so holidays take it's toll sometimes. Also we are not getting any younger so injuries get picked up a little easier. Good games though, played in really good spirits.
Will post when hear something more on dates and times.

Sounds ideal, keep me updated please. I am in Kirkstall too, so Milford in walking/limping distance.......and I know exactly what you mean about age taking it's toll on the body!
