One of the leeds fans come up and congratulated me after the game and it stuck with me. After all is said and done if wigan didnt defend so well in that second half it would of been a different story.
You lot should be proud this year. With the injuries you have had and the trouble you have gone through shows why leeds are a champion team.
Well done and hope some of you would like to see saints lose a 4th gf next week.'"
Cheers and congratulations on last night.
In a surreal moment me and our lass eventually stopped off at the KFC at the Showcase Complex at Birstall on the way back home and when we turned round in the queue, stood behind us was Michael McGuire and two support staff placing a massive order.
The KFC guy that eventually served us said it was the biggest order ticket he had ever seen.
McGuire was only there for a couple of miutes before he left the other two with the order and cash but I complemented him on his success this season and on the win last night. Seems a good guy and has worked wonders with Noble's squad this season.
We were there for a good 25 minutes and the Wigan staff were still waiting for the order by the time we left.
Before we left Steve Hampson came in to check on the order progress and as we left I walked over and told them the best team had won and wished them all the best for next week and he seemed very appreciative of my comments and for taking the time to offer my congratulations.
As we drove out the Coach was just coming back down from up by the gym and was the second time we'd seen the team coach as it was squeezing round the corner of the East stand on the cricket side as we left the ground and a topless Martin Gleeson waved at our lass
