| Having single handedly taken it upon himself to get us to a CC final with his one man show in the semi (or so some on here would have us believe) he obviously felt he earned his ££££s already.
Two very poor knock ons and outplayed by Diskin going forward.
Just one more losing appearance in a CC Final and four GF wins to go and he will have emulated Diskin.

| Absolute cobblers.
Bedsy taken off after 20 mins - didn't play the next 40.
Granted he had a poor first 10, but where was his chance to influence the game in the key middle 40. He is a class act, but he simply wasn't given the opportunity on saturday. McLennan outcoached.

| Most predictable thread of the year. I'm only surprised it took so long.
He was poor, no doubt. A real shame, because if he turned up, we'd have been in with a better shot. Same goes for about 14 others sadly.

| He can be added to the long list of "non performers" on the day imo.

| Predictable thread, yes. Fishing for bites, yes.
But, to work it has to be based on fact, and the fact is that the guy with the huge reputation, who we have been waiting 2 years to deliver his magic on a big stage in blue and amber came up short. No different to the other 16 perhaps, but his early errors were critical in setting the tone and swinging momentum against us I thought.
A couple of knock ons and didn't he go blind to Senior on the 5th tackle in his early spell, forcing a hurried hack forward from the centre? (Happy to be corrected if I remember that wrong, I haven't forced myself to watch it again yet)

| I thought Danny let the occasion get to him at Wembley, Diskin came on and totally outplayed him.

Just shows the magnitude of the CC doesn't it? He's played in SOO and NRL grand finals.

Sent back through time to rid the world of bovine related sports teams: |

| As soon as I saw the thread title, I was smiling and I knew what I'd find. As others have stated elsewhere, why pick on one player when almost every single one of them were underwhelming? Unless of course, you have some kind of agenda.......................Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Oh yeah, it's right up there!
More to do with law of averages (you're always going to have an off day), than the fact it was the Challenge Cup. I mean, as much as he probably wanted to win it, I doubt that desire over shadowed his first SOO outing or Aussie Grand Final.

| Buderus had a shocker (by his standards). Disko also had a shocker (far too slow from the ruck). At the risk of repeating myself I've yet to see a game where the Buderus - Diskin interchange has been remotely successful........2 years & counting! McShane anyone?!?

I'm only surprised it's taken so long for you to post this.
I guess the key for any young posters out there is if you have an opinion which is ridiculed by the masses stick to it and eventually you be able post a thread like this!
Agreed though he had a mare, although I was still desperate for Bluey to get him back on in the second half. Diskin was slightly better but not great showing it's tough to play hooker behind a beaten pack

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

Diskin only has a NRL premiership, 21 SOO appearances including captaining the side to series victory in 2004 and 2005, 25 appearances for Australia and a Dally M!!
I know which player can say he has played with - great distinction - at the very peak of the game in its toughest competition and for the game's finest international side.
Matt Diskin has a hell of long way to go before his career will ever get close to that of Danny Buderus.

When did he find the time?
Looks like it's Diskin by plenty in that case when you add his numerous SL Winner's rings and GB International appearance to the list.
