| Without getting carried away that was almost back to play off intensity rugby tonight. We soaked up a ridiculous amount of pressure in the first 15 minutes and only conceded once. Then Buderus took over. His first stint was pure class. I know they were missing some key playmakers but until the last 10 minutes I felt we dealt with everything fairly comfortably.
We also blew a couple of chances, notably Hall ignoring the 3 supporting players and running straight into the only defender. Some of the defensive work was top class. McGuire's tackle on Mathers on the line springs to mind, and the reaction of players was encouraging. It seemed to matter to them a lot tonight and I think the crowd recognised that and the atmosphere was as good as its been all year (last 10 of the Bulls games aside).
Big rap to the forwards who played more game time than usual due to Peacock and Clarkson's injuries. Bailey, Kylie, Kirke, JJB were outstanding, and Carl Ablett offers a real touch of class in the back row.
All in all a very encouraging display - now build from this.
Oh and on the 9 debate - I though DB should have stayed on, and the pace slowed with the introduction of Disko. Having said that he grew into it and had quite a good game himself. In a straight comparison Buderus will always have more to offer but Diskin is nowhere near as bad as some on here make out. I think tonight showed we can play with both in the 17 against a top side even if it is not ideal

If I remove Kirke from the list of outstanding forwards would it be all of the above

If you didn't link him to the phrase "outstanding". I'd settle for "decent" tonight.

I for one do not doubt Diskin is a [igood[/i hooker....BUT you yourself admit "the pace slowed" and Buderus "will always have more to offer"....so again.....why bother having Diskin taking up the place on the bench and having him replace the guy who "should have stayed on" ???? Bizarre confusing disappointing and likely to bite us in the ass one day.
However, altogether a pleasure to watch...especially Kylie.... and our defence.

| Our 2 best performances of the season, tonight and Hull in the cup, have had the common denominator of Carl Ablett as man of the match, he is an integral part of the team in both attack and defence, very underated.

| I thought we were absolutely fantastic in large parts of the game. Smart rugby was played and was always mixing things up in attack which was confusing Warrington.

| A very VERY good performance form our lads against Warrington! They can be very proud of their efforts although more of the same is required now, special raps to Mr Ablett who had a frankly, stella performance!
Have you ever seen a wire wearing green???

| Delaney certainly thinks so in his interview on the rhinos site. See if you can count how many times he says 'Ya Know'.... at least 50!!
