Yeah, it's pretty much nailed on he's going back down to Melbourne to play for the Rebels. Great player and big loss to the sport. Can't blame him though.

Just read on some Aussie site that its rumoured that AFL have offered $3mil over 3 years. RL simply cannot compete and may lose a huge star once again. Lets face it if Falou wants money RL is probs third in the list. Union and Aussie rules are above.

It'll be a pity if he leaves league before reaching his potential.

Can't say I altogether understand the hype that surrounds him though, perhaps I'm missing something. I'm not saying he's duff by any means but he's no Greg Inglis either.

Having watched every home game Folau has played for Brisbane (and he's missed quite a few with injury), you'd have to say he's not lived up to expectations. He doesn't go looking for enough work, particularly running the ball out of defence, but also looks very leadfooted at times. He's also clearly not a 'smart' player - not in intelligence I have no idea there - but he just doesn't seem to read the game that well IMO. He looks like a winger playing centre most of the time.

So in other words, a very rich man's Chev Walker? Maybe a tad harsh on Folau

You have to remember who he's up against. The likes of Inglis, Lyon, Idris etc are far better centres.

I'm resurrecting this thread for one reason only, to sort of, not apologise exactly but add a small update re Israel. The last two games for the Broncos he has been awesome, actually looking like the player the Broncos thought they had signed. Still not determined exactly what he's going to do as far as I know - I suspect it may have something to do with origin coming up - I bet he'll play the series then announce he's off to RU.
