I think the best position we can [irealistically[/i hope for is 4th. We'd need to continue winning for the next couple of months, beating warrington and saints along the way to get back into contention for second spot.

Completely disagree we are good enough and have enough in the dressing room for top 2.
Every team will hit a wall in terms of form and we have quality and experience to recall so i'm more than confident(arrogant,cocky and pig headed) enough to back us for top 2.  |

If we take points off the top 4 teams we still have a top 2 chance, but we cannot afford to lose more than a couple more all season. This year IMO most teams will lose quite a few gamtes. If we can produce some form and a fully fit team for the playoffs we have the ability to win it from any position. However a lot of ifs. |

I said realistically pal. If you step out of la la and blind faith in leeds land and take a look at the table, You'd see warrington in second place with 16 points. Saints also have 16 points. We are 5 points behind. If we won the rest of our games this season we'd need them both to lose 3. Them losing 3 is very possible. Us winning the rest of the games is highly unlikely.
If they both lost....say 6 more games this season. That's a pretty reasonable expectation i guess, we'd need to win all but 3 of our remaining games. That's definitly possible but it would take a real sustained run of form and would really need us to take points of saints next week. BUt as the title of the thread is, if we lose next week........I'd say 4th spot is a pretty realistic and reasonable expectation.

Ditch the "pal" and the " la,la" bollox there's still over 15 games to go and what were the likes of you saying when we were 6 points behind?
It's more than "POSSIBLE" that we can make top 2 so give this squad credit for their efforts and quality and YOU step out of "woe is us" land!  |
