There will be the usual European mobilisation ....
I understand the Easter Sunday Ryanair flight from Leeds to Girona is virtually full of the travelling faithful, I personally know of double-digit numbers already booked and ready to go on it.
Some are going on organised trips (both the club organised ones and the independant ones), whilst some are heading for their usual haunts in Northern Spain and are being prepared for their excusion over the Franco/Spainish border on the day of the game.
And what about the Admiral, you may ask ?
Well, as some of you who know me well, I am not a fan of the metal winged beast if I can avoid it and with this year's game coming at a time when it is too warm to ski and too cold to dive, I have decided to embark on the journey entirely overland ... Yorkshire to London by train, then by Eurostar to Paris late on Easter Sunday afternoon. The overnight sleeper with probably a stop in Carcassonne on Easter Monday morning, then onwards to Perpignan in good time for the match. After the game, the early morning train back to Paris and then in to the heart of the rail strike in London. If there's no train, there's already 'Emergency Plan B' in place to get me back to Yorkshire.

I'm off out Sunday LBA to carcassone.
I know a place that will be open and will be serving refreshments, I've been asked to take my own bacon though.
Sunday PM down to Limoux to watch a Lord Derby Semi.
Back to Carcassone for more refreshments and a nights kip before more refreshments on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before flying home.
Sure some where in all that is a trip to perpignan!! |
