Amor is a prop.
If the club are going to sign someone then I'd go for Westerman.

Its a good shout. But wouldn't Eastwood just leave us with the status quo, as far as previous seasons go? they are like for like players.
What we miss is the flair player that puts bums on seats IF Ali went. That player could be filled in another position if deemed needed.

Westerman looks average for Cas, plus would he come to Leeds? probably not.
Id still give someone currently at the club a go, how about Pitts or are we going to say he is a prop too.

| Hang on it says "Last year on my contract so I MIGHT head home". In other words: 'Knock knock on Heatheringtons door....where is my contract renewal offer'.
Leeds may offer him another deal with a little pay rise on there. If Ali goes well this season, remains injury free, then you can be sure Bluey will want to keep him.
If he does go I think we will be ok with Pitts.

I would tend to agree, promote someone from within.

| 2 years ago Amor was a centre playing for his amatuer side! I wouldn't rule out second row just yet.

He would go ok as a tight second rower, similar to a peacock job.
But i think he'll be moulded into a prop for us.

| I see what people are saying, should Ali go will we sign a marque player for the bums on seat notion. Lets not forget the money Buderus will free up, and according to some that means we'll have £10 million to play with.
Personally if we have to sign in a second rower I like the look of Ben Harrison at Warrington. As for Westerman, I reckon he could come good in a quality team. But at the moment he is Mr Castleford and will stay there rather than move on. Its a shame but it reminds me of Danny Orr. Wouldn't leave Cas and had the potential, and then left it too late and went downhill

| would be a huge loss to the team. He's such a big player for us.
Not overly worried, the article is lacking any real detail

Danny left at the right age. Nothing wrong with how he went, it's injuries that have effected his career not ability. Had he not had the injuries he would be a regular at international and would probably have still been at Wigan.
FWIW If Westerman was offered the right deal from a top club and Cas were prepared to sell, the lad would go.

The right deal for him would probably be too much for any club IMO, he'll stay at cas.
Im still plugging for 'promote within', rather than buy. Thats if he leaves.
