Some lazy reporting from a sports reporter and some idle speculation that we should not partake in, given that Mr Hudgell has complained several times to the admins of these sites about similar idle speculation on other boards.

Reading to the bottom of that article it would appear that its a manageable debt, which is often the case in many, many company's, including the Leeds Rhinos those few short seasons ago...

I merely asked a question. That's not idle speculation.
My sole intention was to bring this matter of common interst to the Superleague to the attention of folk who may not have seen it & is a follow up to previous posts on similar matters on this very site.
Are your views on this brought about because the site receives advertising revenue from Mr Hudgell?
Pressure doesn't sit well with me.
The whole point of sites such as this is to allow fans and supporters of the game to express their own points of view as long as these are not libellous or illegal in any other way.
I hope the debt, like Leeds' was when GH took over, is manageable & that HKR emerge even stronger from it. They clearly need a larger stadium to increase their potential revenue.

Don't be so touchy, you're perfectly entitled to ask a question but if it gets answered in the negative rather than agreeing with your viewpoint then simply accept it rather than foot-stomping.

As for whether or not Hugdell bears any influence on this site by his sponsorship, I haven't a clue although I am party to certain discussions on a board that mere mortals cannot see and I do know that the admins are adamant that no undue influence occurs - the fact remains that Hugdell is a solicitor and he has already taken a lot of personal flak over his association with HKR from FC supporters and has had good cause to threaten legal action in the past when stupid people say stupid unsubstantiated things about him and his company and/or financial arrangements and/or accounting practices.

Its also opportune to remind users that RLFans is not a public forum, its not owned or funded by the invited users and the admins work very hard to keep it financially viable from their own resources whilst at the same time leaving themselves wide open to legal actions for anything that is allowed to remain on these sites that could be even construed as damaging to another party - the BBC don't have to worry too much about such legal crap but the admins here do and personal opinion goes out of the window when anything even slightly dodgy appears.

All debt is manageable, especially when the directors have indicated that they are prepared to underwrite that debt, which is what the article says.

I wouldn't place too much emphasis on figures quoted from a BBC sports reporter anyway, they are more used to exaggerating the size of contracts and transfer fees than to bother to stop and read balance sheets and profit & loss accounts.
