Nice and early in the bookies in Shorpe - we're not setting off till 1pm, but had to get the jobs done first.


Thought I'd do the usual tradition of putting some dosh on the first try scorer - but being so early in the bookies, they weren't fully awake.

I asked for the prices on the screen :

10/1 Ryan Hall
16/1 Lee Smith
16/1 Keith Senior

I thought that was worth £1 a piece... along with Jamie Peacock as MoM at 25/1

So I scribbled on the usual betting slip and handed over the dosh - only to be told that William Hill have done a special GF slip for this year, fill one of those in. Which I did....

... and in the mean time the odds dropped !!!

9/1, 12/1 & 16/1 respectively.


Anyway - may that be the only glitch of the day and Old Trafford here we come
