Why do people do it?

10minutes to go a fair few were leaving, with 5 minutes the stand was half to 2/3rds empty

now given the current economic climate surely you want to get your moneys worth. I understand the "want to beat the traffic line" will get used but why does it happen?

You have just answered your own question.

Even if Leeds were winning easily it would still have emptied in order to the beat the traffic. Dont matter what team was in that position, they all do it.

Wigan is the worst ground to get away from. Leeds were not going to come back.

Wigan is the worst ground to get away from, probably the reason for the famous wigan walk. Having said that I stayed to the end, its part of following your team to go throughthe highs and lows. I wanted the ground to throw me out with with 7 or 8 to go!

To me people who and leave 10 mins early are better than those who don't go at all, instead come on here moaning about the team/performance/referee etc.

Couldnt agree more!! The lads have just flogged their guts out for us!! If you can't clap them off win or lose then you have a genuine lack of respect for what they do!! If beating the traffic is the best excuse people have then its Bull $hite! if Saving 5, 10, 30 mins, an hour is more important than showing gratitude to our team then you are not my kind of supporter!! And for those of you who use your kids as an excuse then shame on you! They can sleep in the car! Or if you think they are getting home too late? Then the simple answer is don't take em!!

To be fair, i spent the last 10 mins of the game scowling at the 'walkers' and NOT watching the team give away countless daft penalties!

TBF with the ones that were left it was a good craic, i was to the left of the posts and it was a fantastic atmosphere oop the back for most of the game. As said previously those lads had just done 80 mins of hard graft and deserve our respect win lose or draw.

at the bulls home game people were leaving with 5 minutes to go and the scores level!

Last night it was like a trickle, then a flood, people mouthing off at one another, kicking the seats and one guy running all the way down to the front of the stand to complain about a steward who had said "unlucky" to him as she passed. absolutley bonkers.

I have no problem with people that leave early if they choose or don't go at all. It's the judgmental fans that wind me up.

You have also on various occassions over the years left before the hooter. Extremely ironic that I can remember when you once left the JJB early one year.
