Don't get me wrong, I love Rugby League, but that's because I grew up with it. Do people honestly believe it's a great spectacle though compared to great Saints and Rhino eras we've had?
For me there is no flow anymore due to upteen stoppages, and skill levels at an all time low. Can't remember the last person I've been able to introduce to the sport, who's not grown up with it.....

If i watched Saints now i would think it is a great spectacle , they play some fantastic Rugby

It all depends on what sky agree, but it is something the clubs are looking at.

If that’s the only way to get the season going again I as a Rhinos fan and a RL fan would gladly pay to watch the games (not just rhinos games), why would the empty stadium stop you watching?

At the moment i would pay £25 to watch a Leeds game and a fiver to watch anyone else

I imagine most fans would. The game is more important than the crowd - not really sure what it is you want from a game.

Don’t get me wrong the crowd can and does add a lot to the game, but the choice of watching live RL without a crowd or not watching at all, well theres only one winner.

I'd pay to watch Leeds but as a season ticket holder i shouldnt have to pay for the home games, tho how Sky would know im a season ticket holder god knows. I would have no interest in paying to watch other games.

I dont really watch games on Sky anymore cos the coverage and commentary is so poor. I dread to think what this per pay views would be like if they happen.

I cant see us being back for a long time. If France and Canada have banned sporting events til Sept and weve had more deaths than either of those i can only see us going down a similar path.

Sport without fans will be pretty pointless in truth to me.

I have a season ticket and for the sake of the game’s and our club’s future would be happy to waive the cost of this in exchange for watching Rhinos matches played behind closed doors on tv. Not interested in watching other clubs’ matches.

Season ticket holders will get their money back, or a season ticket for 2021. Streaming the game at home isn’t an acceptable replacement for a season ticket.

Fulfilling the sky contract has to be the priority. If the only way to do that is play behind closed doors, so be it.

Given that there is now an influx of money from govt, the potential pressure eases a little. Season tickets could be rolled over to next year with a "top up" charge to reset them based on the number of games already played. This then leaves a revenue hole this year, which could be partially filled with the govt funding. Personally, I'd write this season off, mothball the clubs and look to prepare for next year.


Any funding from RFL must have strings attached about the future structure of the game. We can't just hand out cash to be used this season when it has to be paid back. This is a loan not a grant...
