I think mcdermotts time at Leeds should be close to ending. We do have a poor quality squad, but we are still not getting the best from them.

I think Mac should be a part of the club for a long time to come. I have never been part of Mac out. I do feel we need fresh ideas especially in attack. I think Mac will move to the side at the end of the year. Ivan Cleary would be genius. But that's not happening. I fully support GH and Mac.

In what capacity can you see Mc.D still contributing if/when he is relieved of his Coaching duties mate?

Mac is a man of total integrity. A true leader of men. I unlike others don't think I know better than Mac and GH when it comes to coaching and running an RL organization.

But if you are pushing me for a response? Maybe working the door at the long bar?

After the joke of last year and then the utter failure of the game against Cas, followed by unbelievable comments from the coach after the game. He is clueless and the once might Leeds Rhino's are a joke. I have watched Leeds for 40 years and have never seen such a performance, I saw us getting hammered at Central Park and in Play off Final in 1995. So what are we going to do about it. Do we carry on writing on here, but turn up to the games. I believe we should still support the team but next Friday we should are feelings towards the coach in some way so the Board get the message that we have had enough. I open this up for discussion or are we just going to moan and do nothing.

It's not a case of knowing better mate it's recognising that whatever both are doing is no longer working especially on the Coaching front.
Wrt GH personally i think he's lost that ruthless edge that played a huge part of our success.

He shouldn't be in any capacity if gone from coach. It is a stupid suggestion. The man can not let go, and you would be creating an issue for a new appointment. Especially when some players would be putting out the flags with his removal. It needs a clean brush through, not one tarnished like you have caught the dog poop stuck to it.

Which players are you referring to please? Baldwinson is the obvious one, but which others?

It's not knee jerk if it's about four years overdue. Leeds's top eight status is helped by playing their round 11 fixture early, if we wait until everyone's played equal games it might be too late to act.

Nothing will change. McDermott appears to enjoy playing the Batley's of this world to boost his league game win totals.

Contrast our team spirit & lack of fight with that shown by Wakey last night.

Can see Cunningham getting the chop at saints. I would think that the decision to axe both Cunningham and Brian mac will be several weeks away. Obviously if either coach strings together some decent results then they will remain.
Of the two my bet would be Cunningham to go first, probably Brian mac may stagger on till the end of the season. Whatever happens I am confident that neither of the coaches will be in charge next season of Leeds and saints.

Maybe add Tony Smith to the sack list now.

Which players Gotcha?

I'd like to see him go in his own time, but sadly that time was the end of last season.

We need to build - to do that we need players to want to come in close season, and to get that we need a coach who has had some time to settle (i.e. since March or April).

But I expect I'll be asking Father Christmas for a half back and some healthy forwards again - starting to think I've got more chance of that than GH turning up with the goods...

What has happened to our transfer policy?
We used to sign players like JP and Webb and Buderus, but now we seem to keep looking for diamonds in the rough instead of established top players
maybe there just arent enough top players around anymore that want to play in SL?

Zeb Taia, Greg Bird, T.Leuluai, Luke Burgess all are of above average NRL standard who moved this year and any would have added to our squad.

not sure about any of them tbh, Taia wouldnt get a game in our starting backrow when everyone is fit so a bit of a waste of money, Luke Burgess is overrated, greg Bird probably wouldnt be able to get a visa, Leuluai is decent although not necessarily the kicking and organising half we need

Warrington v Wigan, Leigh v Warrington, St Helens v Warrington
Hull FC v St Helens, Catalan v St Helens, St Helens v Warrington
Leeds v Catalans, Leeds v Wakefield, Huddersfield v Leeds.

Three games could tell a lot about these three teams and I would say that we have the easiest three games out of the three teams. Lose them and I see McDermott definitely gone. Warrington could lose all three of them and have 0 on the board still.

McDermott will only be ousted during the season if the fans make a big noise about it during home games. GH will continue to play the loyalty and injury cards until the fans give him no other choice.

In any case unless there is a huge reversal of fortunes and Leeds either make top 4 or the CC final then I expect a coaching change at the end of the season.

The timing of the change really depends on how much fans show their feelings on match day.
