Hardaker's the one to watch! Still needs to form more of a partnership with Hall, but he can create something out of nothing with his ability to break the line. Just shows what talent there is in the Championship! Which Leigh players do we need to be looking out for? I'm not very familiar with the Championship now it's not on Sky.

| From Leigh Ryan Brierley the Scrum Half on loan from Cas has pace to burn.
Gregg McNallys been on form at full back, as has Martyn Ridyard at 6.
You know Rob Parker, Stu Littler and a few others.
James Laithwaites a young 2nd rower who's come in on DR from Warrington and looks a talent.

| If Leigh have lost out on TV money because of Wigan not being able to secure a ground, I hope they will be suitable compensated!

| Don't hold your breath mate. Seems we've been really shafted here, and if Wigan use LSV it really will be a kick in the stones.

| As i havn't seen any official confirmation of the TV coverage of the CC Quarter finals, or have i missed it?
IMO if the Leigh v Rhinos game is not going to be covered by Sky then i cannot understand their reasoing behind their decision as we have seen some great games from Featherstone thus far in this comp against both Cas and Wigan and on both the BBC and Sky channels
This away cup tie at Leigh could also be a very tight game, i would be surprised if it was deemed to be a definate blow out scoreline by the Sky boys as the reason that it won't be televised
I await this important announcement as it will be a mad dash over to Leigh for me on the friday if it's not on Sky TV

| I can understand if it's SKY not wanting to televise a 'potentially' one sided fixture.
But they are showing Wigan (full strength) v Widnes in a couple of months time.

| Kids under 11 free with adult, so £18 for parent n child to sit down in a new stadium for a CC quarter sounds decent value to me.
Hope you travel in numbers especially with the coach deal as well.

Leigh's LSV Stadium Record is 6476, which might seem nothing to a huge club like yourselves, but I don't think you realise how much it would mean to us to get a stadium record next friday.

That link was last updated on 28th April and Sky always had the option to broadcast this game which is why it's in the listings, however they obviously thought that Leigh weren't worthy enough to grace their channel and so decided not to take up the option.
It'll be interesting to see what they put in it's place.

I was at both games.
But as I said 'Leigh's attendance record' I thought people would understand what I meant.

| Leigh East clubhouse is good. 5 minutes walk.
Robin Hood is 10 minute walk from the ground and has great food and real ale on so that's where I go on the Lowton side of the ground. Good place to park and walk to and from the ground.
In Leigh there are quite a few decent real ale pubs too.
At the stadium itself, garbage.

Oddly, Guinness/Tetleys from a can and bottled Carlsberg is still way better than last year, which was watered down p!55

And if you're lucky enough to get a chicken balti pie that isn't cremated then it's a belter! Usually serve chilli and wedges on the concourse plus the Legends Bar at the ground usually has special offers on food and drink.
Leigh town centre is 10 minutes from the ground, a lot of our forum posters drink in the Goose adjacent to the bus station. Usually 3-4 real ales on, a good range of food and a good craic.

We will be setting off at 3pm to get over to Leigh in good time to absorb the culture and atmosphere. Apparently Leigh is "the new" Catalans. It's somewhere different, it's only £18 and you won't be paying £4.80 for a pint of Peroni in one of Leighs' town centre alehouses like you would do in Leeds. All in all a cheap day out and a chance to learn a new language.

Well if your in leigh for 4.30 or before then i'd get parked up at the stadium, then i'd get a taxi to the thomas burke, walk up to the white lion, move on to the goose which is the big pub on the corner of the bus station, then try the centurion and then onto the stadium.if you want food then the thomas burke and the goose are the places to try.
