The site seems to have slowed down a lot for me over the last 24 hours (everything else i use is fine). Anybody else?

Our hosts seem to be having issues sporadically, it annoys me as much as everyone else.  We are looking at doing more to make the site consistantly speedy over the next month or so.

cant open threads or screen goes white.awful

We have found that 99% of people's problems with 'white screen' are caused by legacy cookies from the old system. We put a FAQ together a couple of weeks ago which is under the menu option (three horizontal white lines) in the top left. The workflow to fix the 'white screen' is as follows;


• Log out of rlfans.com 
• Clear your temporary internet files (cache) on any devices where you are experiencing problems 
• Delete any old bookmarks or links to rlfans.com 
• Go to rlfans through www.rlfans.com 
• Log in again and set up your links and bookmarks. 


If this doesn't work then please email us at support@rlfans.com with details on browser, device and operating system with as much detail about the problem as possible and we will investigate.

People still having major issues on here it seems. Christopher keeps having to put a post on just so he can see the latest posts... 

There's some, interesting, behaviour and it's very difficult to know if I've seen all posts. I find if I click on the name of a thread and go the last page it doesn't show the last few posts - instead if I go back the board and click on the eye/last post icon I can see these, but can't then navigate normally to other pages.


I only noticed this when seeing quotes I hadn't seen and then the last post wasn't the same as the one listed on the board.

This site is currently worse than crap. Appreciate you've had to rush something that was effectively still in testing jnto a production environment, but it's so full of glitches it's hard to know where to start. Is there any progress in terms of fixes?

If you use the little 'eye' symbol in the last column of the thread list then it will take you to the last posts on the thread. We are aware of a number of navigation issues with the site and are working hard to fix those as soon as we can. This is not a dig, just a general interest question.

I'm slightly puzzled why this site seems to have so many issues as if it's totally bespoke? There are so many forums online that I kind of imagined, in my simplistic way, that you just got hold of a template, put your branding / design on it and off you go. Or is that a ridiculously expensive way of doing it?


Anyway, appreciate your efforts and hope it gets better soon.
