I was not in the least surprised when Childs bottled out of what should have been a simple decision to show the red card for what appeared to me to be an unprovoked, cowardly attack by Briers. What I found amazing, however, was that Sinfield accepted the decision without demur - surely he should have questioned the fact that the punch warranted no more than a penalty. He should then have stated to Childs his assumption that Leeds players could therefore punch throughout the game with no sanction other than a penalty. May not have changed Childs' decision but it may have generated some guilt in his mind.

Wire deserved the win but childs is not up to the job. He is weak and indecisive.

Lee Briers on the other hand is a renowned cheat do you remember him claiming Jamie Bloem had bitten him on the arm despite video evidence show Bloem had a gum shield in. If I recall correctly Bloem got a 3 match ban and publically stated Briers had bitten himself to get Bloem sent off.

the 1st thing i do when i get to the game is to see who the ref is and if it happens to be james child you know the game is going to get loads of crap/wrong decisions whether they are for you or against you and in my eyes he is the worst ref ever !
