It's the £30 parking fine that surprised me.
It that's all it cost, it'd be cheaper to leave the car on double reds / yellows than find a multi-story in London

| Double red are a tow away I think??
Best to leave on outskirts near a tube as said.
I've parked well out and got a train in before, think I went from Elstree/ Borehamwood

Yes. There was a slight element of tongue in cheek to my original mention of it mate. I appreciate the streets would be littered with cars if it were really that easy.
Just out of interest... What's the different between double red and double yellow lines?
I was under the impression that double yellows meant "No parking, or waiting, or stopping to set down and pick up passengers, full stop. Just don't stop here. End of". So what do the red ones mean?

Just spotted that!
I've googled it, you can be towed from yellow too.
The crux of it is you can stop to pick up/put down passengers or to load/unload a car on a double yellow, but the reds are literally no stopping for any reason at all.

| DOUBLE YELLOW - Parking restrictions apply to the road (which includes the carriageway, pavement and verge). A driver may stop for passengers to board or alight and to load or unload (unless there are also 'loading restrictions').
DOUBLE RED - Vehicles are not permitted to stop. This includes stopping for loading or unloading, and boarding or alighting from a vehicle (except for licensed taxis and the holders of blue badges).

| Last year we used parkonmydrive.com, which someone recommended on here and it was great. We parked about a 5 minute walk from Wembley in an office car park which had security walking round. Was £15 though.
Doing the same this year but it's gone up to £20.

| I'm driving (working close to London on the Friday) so going to leave it where I am staying.
Bit of a trek after the game, but once back, 5 mins to a major motorway heading North.
Short walk to a mainline rail station and the cost of a ticket including a travelcard is STILL cheaper than the costs of parking around Wembley.

| In the past we've parked at Stanmore tube station, always found it fairly easy way.

| I'll be parking in the hotel car park and catching the tube to Wembley Park.
I know this doesn't really help but I thought you might be interested anyway.

| £40 parking!!
Obviously GH had seen that figure and when he decided on his extortionate pricing of £40 coach fare bearing in mind Leeds are only charging £25 for the trip to Quins.
