Regardless of Turner (and I think he's looked pretty useful) St Helens have made up for any shortfall by taking the best second-row in SL off Hull's hands.

Gareth Ellis was (probably still is) an excellent player but didn't have the line-breaking or ball handling qualities of Willie Manu.
They're not the type of assets I expect he's picked up while he's been away either. The NRL managed to remove any finesse once possessed by Adrian Morley and turn him into a robot so it will be interesting to see how Ellis' game has evolved also. |
