Don't judge us all by your standards. I luv my granny ...(although might be tempted to rough her up a bit for that elusive CC win).

The epitome of what a good supporter should be. Thick and partisan. Surely you're not that ??

| FWIW my opinion
Is Buderus and expensive extravagance? Yes, but we can afford him so why not?
Is he a better player than Diskin? Yes, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that Diskin is a great hooker as well, just not quite as good as DB.
Has Burderus been a disappointment? A little when measured against expectations, he came with such a high pedigree the expectations for him to perform were huge and I, like many others, were probably expecting a little too much of him. In reality he has not let us down by ‘normal’ standards at all – can’t remember anyone saying “…that Buderus is crap”.
Is the two hooker rotational policy working well? No, both Disking and Buderus offer very similar playing styles and rotating them or having them both on the pitch at the same time is pointless.
Would our cash have been better spent elsewhere? In hindsight yes. Too much reliance is put on JP and when he’s injured we really miss him. Another prop with Peacocks work rate would have probably been a more prudent spend.
If Buderus were to leave tomorrow it wouldn’t leave a massive hole in the squad at all and his position would be easily filled.

| For the play offs without JP we cannot afford to be playing 2 hookers. Buderus is the class act and so should be first choice with Ambler also in the side and Kirke dropped if JJB & Clarkson are fit. Ali's fitness is a big risk and Eastwood has become very important

Are you suggesting Buderus plays for 80 minutes?
If so, can you provide any evidence from his career at Leeds in 2009 or 2010 to suggest he would last the game?

I don't see why he couldn't do it if required.

I don't think the coaching staff agree ... can you think of a couple of games in the last 2 years to support the theory?

No, because there are usually 2 hookers in the squad, and I'm not about to go through all our matches in the last 2 seasons looking for evidence. But it's my personal belief that if he needed to do 80 minutes, he could do 80 minutes.

Interesting. You opinion is that he could, based on a gut feeling alone. Nothing wrong with that, but somewhat of a risk in a play off game maybe?
My opinion, based on his performances and appearances over the last 2 seasons at Leeds is that he is no longer an 80 minute player, and that even if the hooker rotation policy with Diskin/Buderus at Leeds has its flaws, it is the way we will get the best out of Buderus.
I would also suggest the coaching staff support this view.

It would be a risk yes, and there's only one person who knows whether he can do the 80. I think he can but that he wouldn't be quite as effective in the latter stages. Although his career at Newcastle suggests he can (remember he's 32 he's not an OAP). I personally don't agree that we should leave Diskin out, but, incidentally, I also think that the coaching staffs concerns over whether Diskin could manage 80 minutes these days led to the signing of Buderus, hence the 2 hooker policy.
