Evalds would be a very smart signing and if we had to pay a transfer fee I’m cool with that. He is exactly the type of player with pace and a nose for the line we are crying out for and despite it being late and Salford not wanting to do a deal money talks.

I think Evalds is a great player, but I see him as a fullback. If he came, at this stage of development, he would be ahead of Walker for me. Walker may have more potential, but I think Evalds has got that bit more experience and had a great season last season.

Would it not be better to sign a wing/? Having said that, not sure who is available.

If an assistant is to do what they are told by the boss and bring no ideas of their own then what is the point in an assistant! We should be recruiting an assistant who adds another dimension to the coach i.e. an attacking focused coach.

Well the assistant coach of Carr certainly had a lot of improvement in us, compared to previous people. I think you underestimate the input.

Flower should not be allowed anywhere near a rugby pitch ever. Ever. There, said it, not proud to want a guy to stop earning a living but that was beyond. Disgusts me everytime I see him play.

Really disagree here. I was there at that game on the 20 metre line so I was very close. The first punch was warranted but the second was disgusting, but flower always loses his head for a reason, Lance said and did something to him that wasn’t really reported on. He was sorry for what happened but worse has happened, like horror tackles. The ban he got was deserved and if he came to Leeds I think it would be a good signing.

Field is no more than a 2nd tier Oz player so wasting a quota spot on him would be criminal when it could be used to get a decent prop

Why not go UK for a decent prop or back row. May not be a suitable overseas option at prop. Field does make sense as hes unlikely to be sought after to go back to aus and he looks more than good enough to make an impact over here.

I cant see any UK club selling one of their top props or backrowers with the new season just upon us.

With this guy Jai Field, personally I've never heard of him, but as other have said is it worth using up a quota spot on someone who has a great highlights reel, but ultimately has just been released from his NRL contract. It just sounds a bit too familiar...

I’d say the issue with the UK qualified players is there isn’t anyone of sufficient quality in the positions we need. I don’t believe it’s a question of money...

I don't know enough about field but as a squad we do lack real pace apart from Handley. Walker is quick over a short distance but not lightening. An addition of real pace would give us an extra dimension.

Can't disagree enough - shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a Leeds shirt. I'd rather we got relegated than sign a thug like that.
