I’d love the two signings to be Bill Tupou, and Joe Greenwood

Whilst neither are bad players I don't believe we need either. Bill would halt Newman's progress and we are ok in the second row unless a real top player becomes available and I'm not sure greenwood ticks quite that box.

I'm more inclined for a prop and a utility back but that's just personal preference.

The Shannon Boyd link has been cropping up very often over the last few days! I thought he was still injured! But he is the type of big grunting forward we need!

Boyd would be a gamble, but he would definitely bring the intimidation factor which has been lacking in recent years.

He has started a 4 year contract.

Every player is available if you throw enough money at him and his club. It's just whether we want to do that.

We do need reinforcements but we don't need to make any desperation moves.

Tupou is the finished article , offers miles more than Newman at this stage, and allows us to have options. Greenwood has bags of potential

If anyone thinks he would sign for Leeds when he’s on the money he’s apparently on now is living in cloud cuckoo land.Leeds would have to pay him at least £400k a year for him to even think about leaving GC probably even upwards of £500k

On-form Boyd probably isn't far off Australian Test standard is he? That makes him the right kind of calibre to take Leeds forward. If we could add him for heavy guns in the pack, and then some speed and ability in the backline, we suddenly look a prospect again.

I don't know much about him but he has played for Australia 5 times in 2016

I don't mind having that type of forward that can't do big minutes but can make yards and do a bit of bulldozing. We already have some big minute props in the squad. Not much on youtube of him but do remember him playing in some NRL games and thinking that he is a bit of a beast.
