I'm sure Gary knows what he is doing and will take everything into account before signing anyone.

From reading the various reports of the whole sorry affair, the culture at the Titans seems to be one about as far removed from that at Leeds as you could possibly get.

You are the one bringing Hardaker in to this not me, are you saying he's a bad influence on the squad? if so on what evidence. I strongly disagree with you BTW

I made no recommendations based on a non court case, as you describe it. What I advocated was the GH protects the current culture by using his own judgement as to whether Falloon was a good fit with that culture.

And who's to say whether an individual, when placed in a superior club culture, wouldn't react positively to that both on and off the field.

Leeds have a recent history of dealing very well with players who get into some bother. If this Aussie can play then this non court case is a non issue.

Hardaker had no prior issues before joining the club. His issues occured while already in the clubs employment and were dealt with. So bringing hardaker into the debate is irrelevant.

Indeed, and the point is look how well the club have done. Obviously hardaker has done his part too. The point is that a couple of issues don't make someone a bad player if the club has the right structure to help them.

There's a big difference between a player acting up whilst at the club (Bailey, Hardaker) than signing somebody with a poor record elsewhere. Personally I wouldn't look seriously at any of the Titans players they've unloaded unless I was desperate. A number of those players clearly placed having a good time ahead of their sporting careers - exactly the opposite of the kinds of sacrifices needed to win things which a number of Leeds players have talked about.

Its not as though Falloon is Cameron Smith - he's a bog average first grade hooker at one of the worst NRL teams that has clearly had serious off-field problems for a long while. I'd rather go with Lilley or have a look around the Championship than sign someone with the potential to be a destabilising influence, especially with the loss of Sinfield and Peacock from the squad.

I don't pretend to know much about Falloon as a player so can't comment too much though the ability of the team a player comes from isn't really a big factor. I knew little of both cuthbo or garbutt before they arrived, nor was I impressed with the aiton signing at first.

I've said on previous threads that the scouting and recruitment at Leeds is second to none at the moment. They know far more about players than any of us.

Doesn't mean they don't get it wrong.

The club tend to it right more than they don't. When they do get it right, boy do they get it right. Cuthbertson, leuluai, webb, lauititi, delaney etc etc etc.

While there might not be a lot of talent at the position available this season, could we get by on a combination of Burrow and Lilley for 2016 and then look at who is available at the end of next year when the likes of Rory Kostjaysn are coming off-contract, rather than commit ourselves to two or three years of a mediocre player?

Ali Lauititi has said he'll be playing one more year of Super League and will "know more soon"

I'd happily exchange him for Achurch out of the current squad, even if it's only to get 12-15 games a year out of him off the bench.
