In that picture Smith is clearly infront of the ball. I checked it against the BBC coverage because it's still on my Sky box. It's blatantly obvious that Smith's position has been changed.'"
On closer inspection, you are right. Wow, imagine taking the time to do that.

| His feet should be between the shadows he's created, like all the other players are.
Who would go to the trouble of making this picture?

The first time I saw it posted it was posted by Hugh Janus.
I think he's one of the resident rlfans trolls, so it might just be an attempt to stir up some stupid Saints fans, or it could be a joke.

As a Rl supporter of many years I fully accept that Leeds are indeed Champions simply and purely because their team finished at the top of the league after playing each team during the season home and away.
They are Not the champions for that win last Sat. You MacL cannot in all honesty tell me that you truly believe that try should have been given!! I will lose faith in you as a mod if you do......Like you I too believe that the media are Thatcher inspired again....must be because they are getting worried about having they expenses chopped...maybe the same impetus affects Eddie,Stevo et al...along with the refs -video or other.....grannyfan Cindy

Both feet behind the BALL when it was played - obvious try
What people seem to be confusing themselves with (including Sky muppets) is measuring Smith's position against Mcguire's body. Maggs is irrelevant, its the ball that counts

Completely agree- People are going on like it's a blatant offside which is wasn't!!
Eastmond's try in the corner would have been given IF he had grounded it, depsite his foot appearing to be on the line. Matter of MMs - therefore, Lee Smith being onside/offside by a matter of MMs, Betham has applied the same BoD to attacking side logic.
At the end of the day, it wasn't like Jordan Tansey at MM - now that was offside

Thats a good point. The decision for Eastmond's no-try was given for hitting the corner flag. From the stands it looked like his feet were in touch twice.

As a matter of interest, which "step" did you think was out?
The first one on the replay, showed grass between the line and his foot.
The second one showed that although the back of his foot was over the line, this part of his foot was off the ground.

I never saw grass between on the first one although I think he was not out.
IMO it was not given for hitting the flag.
