True but irrelevent if you can't afford to reach it - you do realise I'm being complimetary to Leeds in a back handed kind of way. You can do better.

| Not quite the same salary cap as even if Wakey spend up to the full cap Leeds spend a fair bit more on Merrin and Hurrel that Wakey can not afford as Marquee players

| He's a rough diamond Welly, just needs polishing.Lots of polishing.Couldnt break into the Widnes team on a regular basis, one of the worst ever teams in SL history.Betts had him one to one coaching. For me he is looking to offload far too early, before contact. You have to try and win the collision first.Massive potential but at 24 you have to wonder if it will ever come to fruition.Just to add he's a lovely bloke, a quietly spoken gentle giant.

He might be 24 but last year was his first in Super League, before that he was playing in the PNG League and Queensland Cup.

| Hard to judge him on 1 game, but I thought he did ok and would like to see him get a few games before we make a decision on him. The trial period will hopefully give us chance to do that. If he doesn't count on the quota and comes fairly cheap there may be room on next season's cap to accommodate him, if as expected there are a few departures.
Let's see how he goes the next few weeks.

| I think we need to accept Wellington will make errors but at least offers some kind of impact off the bench which we lack.
Some offloads will work and some wont but he has the ability to change a game and I would rather see that off the bench than Donaldson and JJB who are going to make impact off the bench at all other than some graft.
You would hope Albert and Ava would improve the forward options in the very least.

| He looks he's been put together in the wrong order. Arms and legs everywhere! looking forward to watching him, probably going to be fun and frustrating! Let's hope the split falls more towards fun than it does frustration!

| He's like that cartoon effect with a big dust cloud with arms and legs coming out at all angles.

Tbf he wouldn’t care if you are being complimentary of Leeds or not, he’s not a Leeds fan.

A Leeds season ticket holder for over 20 years, not a Leeds fan, bizarre.

| Its going to be really interesting to see the winners and losers amongst our forwards over the rest if the season. Assuming Merrin stays, we've got Ava Longname who's clearly assumed to be a starter, plus Wellington and Crosby (eventually). Later we'll have Steve Ward back and at some stage even Ablett may get fit, and some of the kids like Holroyd may get games as well.
So who's most under pressure? Clearly most of the transfer activity has been for the front row, suggesting that's where Furner sees the biggest problem. If Merrin stays you'd assume he'll be 13 which means that Cuthbertson, Singleton, Peteru and Oledzki would be in the firing line. Based on what people have seen so far, who's most likely to NOT be in the first 17 when everyone's fit?
