I don't think that this is the announcement nor is it necessary. The new joint stand can be moved much nearer to the cricket playing area to be built on the current walkway between the front of the current stand & the outfield.
Knowing that this is a possibility why would the club have invested so much in the new pitch only to have to relay it so soon? |

Goes without saying that Kevin is a legend and our greatest ever captain, but nothing lasts for ever and can't think of a single halfback in the modern era who has continued to play effectively at the highest level after 35 - and most of them a good deal before that. Don't fully understand why he wants to go off and p1ss about playing union though.
With JP and Sir Kev leaving will surely be extra motivation for the whole squad to make their last game a GF win at Old Trafford.

Truly the end of an era with him & JP leaving.
